16 most inspiring FAILURES
If you ever hit a snag (and we all do from time to time), just keep this in mind: Failure is a better teacher than success
http://bloggers-journey.com/motivati...mous-failures/ Andy Grove of Intel once said that in his life he started 100 companies and all of them failed, his 101st is Intel. Keep that in mind when the chips are down and the tunnel seems endlessly long and there's no light.... |
Albert Einstein:
His grades in school were so poor that a teacher asked him to quit, saying, “Einstein, you will never amount to anything!” |
Henry Ford... Great example!
Henry Ford :thumbsup
I was told about him when I was around 6 years old. He was not very well educated, however he had a row of phones on his desk where he could get almost any question answered and one of his family members took him to court trying to say that he was not fit as to run his company... when asked by the court if he could read or had any training as to run a business he said no... however, he indicated to the judge that he had a row of phones on his very big office desk and whenever he had a question on anything all he had to do was to pick up a phone and a expert on any subject would answer any question he had... Well guess what Henry Ford had no problems after that. :thumbsup:thumbsup |
Henry Ford kicks ass. The father of the Industrial assembly line.
Funny how technology evolves, the assembly line was based, indirectly, from slaughterhouses' "disassembly line" (ie., lining up pigs for slaughter and each step has a process). Another key ingredient for assembly lines = interchangeable parts. It's weird how things one would think are so far apart and unrelated can lead to major breakthroughs. Quote:

I laughed into tears in my eyes when reading Einstein's column. "when Einstein was young, his parents thought he was mentally retarded. His grades in school were so poor that a teacher asked him to quit, saying, ?Einstein, you will never amount to anything!? His picture there looking so calm cracks me up because I know when his was a kid hearing these things he gave them the same look while thinking internaly "You're all a bunch of idiots". :1orglaugh:1orglaugh |
Legendary Lars. He was once an $8 a hour programmer for a dating site, and look where he is now.

Mel Fisher.
He was a treasure hunter in the Florida Keys. He hunted for 16 years. When he found bits and pieces of the treasure, his critics called him a fraud and a cheater, accusing him of "salting" the wreck. He was involved in over 100 lawsuits. The worse tragedy: his son got killed. He eventually found the mother load, the Spanish galleon Atocha. The treasure is worth hundreds of millions of dollars, maybe more. http://www.melfisher.com |
