The North American currency union is a proposal in which the three principal countries of North America, namely Canada, the United States and Mexico, would share a common currency. This idea is based on the common European Union currency, the Euro. There are also related proposals for a single currency for all of the Americas. The hypothetical currency for both of these ideas is sometimes referred to as the Amero.

There has been much talk of this on various internet blogs for over a year. Most of those blogs have been smeared as "conspiracy theorists" and have been largely ignored by the main stream.

What prompted my interest in the issue was money: I was sent professional images of actual AMERO coins by someone in the US Treasury! The person included a note saying they like my radio show and are frightened by what's been going on in secret within our government.

This Treasury Department person was outraged that our country was beginning to coin money as part of a merger that would do away with our country, via a merger the American public knew nothing about!

When I got the professional images of the AMERO coin, I was finally intrigued enough to make mention of it on my web site. My site has gotten over 20 Million visits in the last couple years and is becoming more popular because of the brutal honesty and timely delivery of news that folks don't find elsewhere. This story about AMERO coins would fit my niche of breaking news, so I ran a snippet of a story.

Sadly Mexico has 2 things that the US wants. 1st is OIL. Mexico does not import oil it exports. and 2 Mexico has thousands and thousands of miles of beach front property.

One day there probably will be a North American currency much like the EU has the Euro.

I tend to agree.. It will happen, it will eventually be the only way to compete with the Euro. Only way they can make it happen, is when it's a benefit for both America and Canada. Hence the reason we see a low dollar now and a high Canadian dollar.

Mexico won't be added into the equation right off the bat, it will just be the US and Canada. It's big business that is pushing it and they will eventually get it because they hold all the power in our countries. What the people want really never comes into play.

First of all, there was no mention in that clip about an Amero or any other common currency.

Second of all, why would the Americans be building a giant border fence between the US and Mexico and imposing stricter requirements for entry into the US from Canada if they plan to erase the borders? Does that make sense to you?

I call bullshit for two reasons.

One: People in North America do not want this and contrary to popular belief Canada and Mexico are not controlled by the US. I don't even think the US wants this.

Two: Look at those coins...if those were real I think they would make either more of an effort to represent the three distinct cultures that would use the currency or they would take all cultural links and ties out of the design. Those coins as they stand are very pro-American.

Its true, Bush has been working on this with Vincente Fox when Bush was governer of Texas. Put that together with the Mexican truck companies and the super highway through Texas that is being built to conect YP to Canada. None of this has been cleared by the American people or legislater.
