I am watching it now. I can't get enough of it. This guy is a jerk with his fake frozen food.

Right after I posted this, the guy started crying and I felt very bad for him. Sometimes, the truth is the hardest thing to swallow.

The only thing this americanize version is missing is Ramsey riding in on a llama. So much fake drama it is almost beyond understanding.

The owner of last night's show was a complete moron. He was so sure that his 24 combo complex as hell menu was unique and was going to pave the way for franchising even though nobody liked his food. He had wood burning stoves going but was buying everything pre made frozen and just heating it up in the microwave. Even when it was obvious his staff and customers liked the new menu and food items, he still wanted to revert back to his stupid menu.

What do you think is fake about it? Ramsey doesn't usually have a problem quickly getting under people's skin, so most of the confrontation seems believable.

My best friend and soon to be ex-roomate works for Granada America, the American child of the British company. They do Kitchen Nightmares, Hell's Kitchen, Phenomenon with Criss Angel and Uri Gellar, and Celebrity FitClub (ick).

If you'd like a copy of the shows that have already aired, that's easily accessible. (It might take a little work to get the shows that have not aired yet -- she's pretty loyal)....

Also, because they primarily do reality TV, Granada is not really affected by the WGA Strike, and their production is continuing as usual. So if you like those shows, that's a good note.

I really like Gordon Ramsey. I don't know if I could handle him screaming at me. He might lose a few teeth..but it's fun to watch him do it to others.

Yeah... he was an idiot - maybe a bit too much of one, at times - I mean No way anybody reverts to the old menu like that in the middle of the second night.

I think that a lot of the reactions are real, but a few of the situations are definitely set up... like "play up your desire to to keep your old menu," or "go and violently swing open that door and confront him in the narrow hallway in which all the cameras are currently set up" is written into the script.
