Companies that don't pay in USD

Are there any companies that don't pay in USD, or perhaps companies that are considering switching to something else?

It was all fine and good when I was getting "free money" on the exchange, but so far, I'm really not enjoying this whole losing money thing (and I expect it will just get worse)

So what's the deal? I will accept payment in CAD or Euros lol

hopefully soon enough everybody will start to switch to Euro, however, I wouldn't wanna be the one to start that trend I'd let someone else take that initiative :winkwink:

This trend is not going to continue - why change your entire system because a few months (even a year) the dollar is unstable. Unless you can prove that the USD will remain down for longer than a year - then stay put and be thankful that you enjoyed the long run it had

Well Canadian companies at the very least could start paying in CAD and then at least I would be even lol

You really think programs are going to bill in dollars and pay webmasters in Euros?

Because a bulk of porn buyers are from the US

:disgust

Joe Bob surfer is not going to try and do the math on Euros when trying to sign up for a site. Especially when he couldn't pass math class.

billing in CND dollars ?? yes if it was that easy
all us Canadians would gladly switch over to bill our clients and
payout the affiliates in that
<rolls eyes and sighs>

You are really going to have your primary consumers billed in a foreign currency?

polish_aristocrat 11-07-2007 01:46 PM

Payserve bills everyone and pays in Euro and converts very good.

Forgetting the current problems Robert - what reason is there to bill an EU member in dollars? Same with any country - why bill a UK member in dollars?

No reason. Each country (within reason), should have signup pages in their own currency and language. There is also no reason for not using the Big Mac index to price paysite (or any site) costs to reflect the site or 'product worth' within each country.

This is in common use by all transnational corps, including those operating websites - the adult industry is just too backward in this area.

There is far better revenue potential when each currency is matched to the respective country at transaction time. There is no reason why any webmaster, wherever they actually operate, should tolerate currency fluctuation problems - especially to the level currently shown by the US dollar.

Definitely time for this biz to catch up man - we have been doing multi-currency for a few years now, but still the bulk of the industry is still playing with dollars :thumbsup

"even a year"?! the USD->EUR convertion has been going downhill since 2001.

It's indeed high time we leave the USD alone and start using the EUR for serious business (porn, oil, etc... ;-) )

Cman 11-09-2007 12:44 PM

Thanks to the non-ignorant people who gave serious replies and are aware that there does exist a world outside the US lol. I will have a look at the companies mentioned.

Grey Wolf said pretty much what I was thinking in a more well spoken way than I could. (I need to go back to english class lol)

BOSS1 11-09-2007 12:51 PM

we are doing it, the only problem is we can only pay by check ,wire with euros... I dont think its possible to pay with epass, so it would have to be converted

Sex Money also pays in Euro :thumbsup

I agree and am surprised more sites don't do it that way. The technology is out there and very easy to implement.
