Kazaa, Limewire, etc Hurting the Industry
I think these peer sharing systems are seriously hurting the Adult Paysite Biz..
Why would people subscribe when they can get 90% of it for free and simply just wait a couple weeks and get the new stuff that "WAS" exclusive now all over the world for free? What do you think? I know revenue is down since last year for many paysite owners I know and we think this is one of the biggest reasons. |
seems like live/interactive content is gonna be the future, eh.
then we'll just have people piggybacking other people's feeds, heh. |

Gonna be? We have been pushing live cams and feeds since 97 dude. Live interactive girls is what started me in this biz in 97. gonna be? hehehe always has been. :winkwink: |
I did a search on Bangbus in WinMX - holy shit, all episodes easily available for download... I wonder that anyone signs up still... wtf.

Some people are taking advantage of the situation and sharing a bunch of files with popups/urls/dialers all over them and giving them juicy, keyword filled, file names for all of the freeloading surfers to find. :) |
You know guys it would be cool if we could use those services to OUR advantage... like another way to advertise stuff (partial movies that leave them wanting more, teaser pics with URLs on them, etc...) I gotta look into that...

It's already been done.. I did it for a while.. and saw pretty good results... but either people are catching on.. or theres just too many people doing it now.. because it's just not the same. |
The music industry was talking about trying to fuck up those systems by putting up 10,000's of bogus files. That way users would spend the time downloading them, then they would find out the files were fake. Eventually, after getting fucked over enough times, the theory is that most people will give up.
Maybe the paysites need to get together and hire some people to trojan the shit out of Kazaa and all the other file trading services. If you set up 500 accounts with all fake Bang Bus stuff, then waste people's time, maybe some of them will give up and go pay for the site. Not sure if it would work, but that's what the music industry was talking about doing. |
Live interactive is truly the only long term answer - I agree with you guys. Eventually the net will be nothing more than interactive TV. At least the commercial parts of it anyway.
