Ugh, don't you just hate back pain

Next to tooth pain it has to be the worst thing. Especially when it comes on for no reason you can think of. For the past few days my upper back has been killing me. Perhaps it is time for a new chair.

Yeah tell me about it. Been in constant back pain now for 25 years, 8 months, and 23 days.

Has only been getting worse with time.

I have been having lower back pains for a while. Very annoying and it's mostly because I sleep on my belly I guess - so maybe a new mattress would help.
Massages help, though.

I think back pain it's the most painful

since becoming a webmaster a little over a year ago i have notice my upper back and shoulder blades seem to hurt.

PiffStenis 11-07-2007 07:26 AM

I used to get that, till I bought one of those kneeling chairs. Made a huge difference.

Sarah_Jayne 11-07-2007 07:29 AM

This is upper back pain..like right between my shoulder blades..a new one for me. My doc gave me a seriously strong pain killer and it is nearly taking it away but I can still feel it. Chair shopping will happen this weekend.

every day I feel the pain

tranza 11-07-2007 08:15 AM

It's been a while since I last had back pain... It sucks!

Th!nk 11-07-2007 08:17 AM

i am also suffering this but on my left shoulder...guess it was because I had a wrong lying position during sleeping.

CDSmith 11-07-2007 08:25 AM

It's a constant thing with me, I've pretty much gotten used to it.

Except for those flareups. And sudden changes in the weather. Those are killer.

All you can do is make sure your office is 100% ergonomic, sit right, and have a decent mattress on your bed. And you could try going to the chiropractor. I did it for over 6 years straight along with seeing physio therapists and a few back specialists until I got it through my head that there's really no hope for me. But your situation could be different, you might see some relief. Many people do.

I pulled something in my lower back about 3 weeks ago. Had me hunched over for about a week and every now and then pain would shoot down my ass & leg dropping me to my knees!

Back problems suck!

Back pain does suck, indeed.

Sarah_Jayne 11-07-2007 09:45 AM

I haven't had back pain for ages and then I started to get it again. One of my doctors floated the idea that since I was losing a good amount of wait things were 're-shifting' but I am going more with the bad chair theory. Bad backs run through my family and as far as the rest of my family goes I have gotten off light so far.

Violetta 11-07-2007 10:19 AM

Im lucky... My body is perfect lol

larrymax 11-07-2007 10:30 AM

Aww...that sucks. Sorry to hear about the pain.

I messed up my back last weekend lifing and twisint and it hurt like hell. Sounds like I am lucky cuz it is almost better.

Ayla_SquareTurtle 11-07-2007 10:30 AM

I've been dealing with that kind of thing for years now. It can have a lot to do with the level of your keyboard and mouse in relation to your body. Elbow height (while sitting in the chair) is supposed to be better.
