Your Inner Clock

How many of you don't need an alarm to wake up, and just do it at the same time everyday naturally?

I use to be able to wake up naturally but since I moved into a new house I haven't been able to. I'm guessing it's just because there's not as much light coming into the room in the morning.

Gianna_CECash 11-06-2007 12:12 PM

I could do it np... you just need to have more light coming in and you will get back into the swing of things

Depends on what time I go to sleep. I usually wake up naturally after 7 to 8 hrs of sleep.

Wizzo 11-06-2007 12:20 PM

I wake up pretty much the same time every day, thats why I enjoy the time change last weekend because now I wake up and its a hour earlier... :pimp

I'll wake up at about the same time every morning (6:30AM), but I do enjoy the prospect of going back to sleep immediately.

And so, I use an alarm clock on those days where it's not an option.

Between 4:15 & 4:30 every morning.. Pisses me off too.

katushka 11-06-2007 12:33 PM

I do too. Just force of habit I suppose. Even with the time change, I get up at 6 am, on the dot.

ShellyCrash 11-06-2007 12:35 PM

I usually wake up just before the alarm. sucks on weekends though, I miss being able to sleep in. For some reason no matter what time I go to bed my body won't allow me to get more than 7 and a half hours of sleep. sucks :(

Bro Media - BANNED FOR LIFE 11-06-2007 12:44 PM

my internal clock sucks, when i actually had a job away from home, i'd wake up litterally 5 mins before my alarm, now i wake up when my alarm hits, and shut it off and go back to bed for another 4+ hours, i wanna get in the swing of waking up early, but its hard

if I have to wake up at a certain time, I will wake up. I still set an alarm, but I usually wake up about 10 minutes before it will go off. I also play this dumb game when I wake up sometimes I just guess the time and surprisingly I am dead on sometimes to the exact minute.

After Shock Media 11-06-2007 12:48 PM

If I need to awake my clock will wake me up, only for when I actually must be somewhere though.

ADL Colin 11-06-2007 12:49 PM

I have never used an alarm clock in my life.

Same here - If my body knows it has to be up the next day, then it gets itself up, but if it knows that I don't have anything on then it doesn't really matter if a bomb goes off next to me; I'll still sleep on through.

firecracker 11-06-2007 12:55 PM

I can function on 5 hours or oversleep, my body doesn't know what to do lately.

KILL_FRENZY 11-06-2007 01:46 PM

even with a clock I can't get up

eroswebmaster 11-06-2007 01:51 PM

I can pretty much set my internal clock to get up when I need to.

Let's say I'm staying with friends out of town, and I want to wake up at 8 am. I just tell my self over and over right before I got to sleep, what time I want to wake up, in how many hours, and bam, I will usually get up 15 minutes before that...have never over slept that way...but have over slept when I relied on a real alarm to wake me up and something happens in the middle of the night.

The strange thing, is as a kid, you couldn't get me up to save my life. House could be burning, you'd have to really fight to get me up.

That all changed as an adult. Another thing I can do, is pretty much tell you within 5-10 minutes what time of day it is right now without looking at a watch.

One reason is because I never wear a watch, and I've just developed this kind of "knowing." It's weird, but I'm rarely ever wrong by more than 10 minutes.

Violetta 11-06-2007 02:19 PM

I need the alarm since I have to be at work at 8 o clock every day. But I usually wakes up at 10-11 in the weekends. MUCH earlier than when I was 18, 9 years ago. Then I could sleep to 2 in the evening
