...that anything to do with sex should be oppressed? What is thier rationalle?

I happen to know three hard core bible thumpers who have 20 year olds that they claim were "raised right"...and all three of these 20 year olds are single mothers.

This, frankly, does not speak well of the policy of complete ignorance about sex. As a matter of fact, in my opinion, it is this policy of ignorance that led to all three of these situations.

What are your thoughts about the religious policy of complete ignorance regarding sex?

Yeah, but just imagine how much LESS anal sex you would have had without Catholic girls.

Thats all religion does, preach about tolerance and acceptance when in reality all they do is judge and repress any thought outside of what their preacher or the bible says.

Probably the most hipocritical group of people I have ever been in contact with. They can have it, I'll live in "sin" and be happy.

Unfortunately, I think that many "Christians" fail to focus on Christ, his message, and the way he lived his life. This is a man who got down on his knees to wash the feet of a prostitute. This is a man who broke rules--both civil and religious--constantly. Yes, the Old Testament instructed a small, struggling group of nomadic people to "multiply" in order to keep their tribe alive, and to marry and reproduce within their religion only in order to keep their faith alive. But Jesus told his apostles to walk away from their families and invited them to hit the road with him.

A friend of dated a Catholic girl that was saving her virginity for her wedding night. She would not have intercourse with him but he could get a blowjob or fuck her in the ass whenever he wanted.

Most of my family is born again, so I get this shit every time I visit home. I think they gave up, but I'm pretty sure they still draw straws to see who has to take a shot at it everytime I'm home.

I still have 3 bibles still in the bag they've all given me. One of these days they'll get it.

I was raised secular, and I'm an atheist, so religion has always seemed alien to me. The things people are willing to believe defy logic. There's no rationalization for it.

I'm not judging single mothers...The church is. The church rains down hell on the concept of sex before marriage...and it claims single motherhood is bad...yet it's whole philosophy of ignorance is what causes it.

That is my thesis anyhow.

I was in a hotel in Rome, Georgia one morning and heard a preacher talking to his congregation. I was absolutely incensed at his arrogance...

And then he goes on to quote a scripture...then he explains it in his interpretation...and I nearly spit coffee all over the TV. This guy was twisting shit so bad that I felt genuinely sorry for his sheep.

Well, not all single mothers had children out of wedlock, which presents another issue in the church, divorce. I was raised by a single mother, but my brother and me were both born while my parents were married, but they divorced when we were young.

It's nothing but a value system based on life hundreds of years ago that is no longer a viable means of judgement. They need a little update of their shit.
