Is vancouver set to be ...
One of the largest cities in North America?
Im not sure exactully why but with all these highrises going up on every corner of the city... I would assume the realestate companies know something the average joe might not? |
meh it rains to much there. But it is a nice city. I'm heading over for the Olympics.

Um your joking right? I mean hey I could be wrong and I have not looked at the size of Vancouver lately but seriously? |
I love that city ! very clean air and lots of hotties ;-)
|
Vancouver is surrounded by suburbs and has nowhere to expand to. The downtown core itself is pretty small...
|
Calgary is catching up... hahaha. Just kidding, but with the building going on here... it would almost seem like it.
|
Sure, no problem... only needs 24 million more people or so to pass Mexico City.
Although, it does have one tiny problem of being crammed in between an ocean and a mountain. Not to mention that a lot of it is built on old rain forest land that can't support the tallest buildings. |

no way this city can get too much bigger without implosion. the infrastructure here is just not well designed. bunch of hippies back in the day ruined it.

cue in pictures of Los Angeles super highways :) Vancouver isn't going to be the biggest city on the continent it's going to be the best :winkwink: |
yeah, there's a few cool webmaster's in BC eh?
|
There is no way. Shit Phoenix is already much bigger. Phoenix decided it better to build outward instead of upward. It takes me about an hour to get to my dads house with no traffic on the freeway and I'm not even as far away as I could be. It's probably just short of 2 hours to get from the furthest corner of what's considered the Phoenix Metro area to the other.
It's fucking ridiculous, and then add in traffic and you can forget about it. Better pack a lunch. |
No way..our traffic infrastructure is overloaded as it is.They didn't think about it way back when.Sure there is a ton of new construction but honestly I can't see more than another couple million. It will be too jammed
|
One of the most beautiful and cleanest cities I've been to.
|
Vancouver will be a transportation cluster fuck for the olympic's
to and from whistler will be even worse with only a single road and only busses (2 hours) |

I saw the traffic that hit Sydney Australia in the 2000 Olympics; Vancouver can't even handle its own traffic, nevermind Olympic levels of traffic... its going to be retarded. |
