how do u cut up wmv files?

just wondering if theres any programs out i can use to cut up wmv movie files.

I really don't think you can edit wmv files. Well, I mean you can but they look very shitty. I've tried it and it just sucks. You have to cut them up before they wmv.

Use Vegas Video from Sonic Foundry. http://www.sonicfoundry.com, it will edit almost any media file.

how is the quality of the wmv files after they are cut? I would love to be able to cut mine but I've had a bunch of people try and it always looks like shit.

ASFCut is a quick and dirty little program. It basically cuts out a chunk of the wmv so it looks the same as it orginally did. Other wmv editiors attempt to recompress the section out which causes the video to look terrible. ASFCut isn't a very friendly program to use, but once you get it up and running its great.
