Does anyone know of interactive software that can reside on the desktop of several computers with tasks, calendar, and other useful features?

for a individual computer there are the yahoo widgets ,its pretty cool.

Does anyone have experience with Microsoft Office Groove?

I've been looking for the same thing for a while now and haven't found anything worth while.
