Do you squeegee the shower?

After ten years of living in my house, and squeegeeing the shower daily (oh...and drying off the fixtures with a towel), my shower still looks brand new.

It takes an extra five minutes, and the shower NEVER needs to be cleaned with abrasives or chemicals.

Anyone else go to this effort? Or am I just an anal-retentive fuck?

kacy 11-05-2007 08:42 AM

Yes we do it everytime as well ;)

BerdoR 11-05-2007 09:05 AM

oh, that´s how you´re supposed to do it?!

gornyhuy 11-05-2007 09:20 AM

Yeah, it works miracles. I decided to replace the whole shower setup, so I stopped squeegeeing for a few weeks and it looked like absolute shit by the time I removed the glass door/wall.

LauraLee 11-05-2007 09:22 AM

I squeegee the glass doors, but I don't go as far as drying everything with a towel.

Vitasoy 11-05-2007 10:38 AM

No, I am too lazy :(

teg0 11-05-2007 10:40 AM

No, didn't know people did that. You're a bunch of Danny Tanners

used too, but we have a special spray now that applies silicone or sumtin; makes it a lot easier for the cleaning lady to keep it sparkly

LOL...so you'd rather spend 30 minutes every Saturday cleaning the shower?

hmmm...

7 days x 5 minutes = 35 minutes a week cleaning shower.

1 day x 30 minutes = 30 minutes a week cleaning shower.

lol

Gina Cochina 11-05-2007 01:27 PM

I am way, way too lazy to do that. Shit, I was almost too lazy to even type a sentence about being too lazy to do it.

Hell House Vic 11-05-2007 01:28 PM

squueeeeeegie the glass is good, drying the fixtures seems anal... but the result is nice.

Ryan St. Germain 11-05-2007 01:31 PM

yes, and i agree that it does make everything look new. the marble and glass always look immaculate that way.

I thought drying the fixtures was a bit over the top at first as well...but the metal never...EVER has water spots...and it takes very little effort.

Calico Jack 11-05-2007 02:35 PM

Everytime...4 years old and it's sparkling new!

D 11-05-2007 02:39 PM

I rent so....

nah.

After Shock Media 11-05-2007 02:41 PM

Um the answer would be no and no. It would be damn hard to squeegee a plastic shower curtain anyways. I just take it out each week and toss it in the washing machine in cold water. As for water spots on the metal, my water has very few minerals in it so I just do not seem to get water spots. I do however spray down the walls with water before I get out. Just in case any soap got on them.
