1. It has fundamentalistic goverments. Ideal to sell "freedom" war expeditions to the public.

2. It has the biggest oil reserves of the world. No need to explain further.

3. It's in clash with Israel. So, they make Israel vulnerable to the public to raise more support. Actually, Israel can wipe out the whole middle east alone in a matter of days if they wanted.

I disagree with you on two points. One would be the true purpose of being in the middle east, which is a another debate in itself. The second would be the idea that Israel can wipe out the whole middle east alone. While I giggle at the idealistic thought, it's simply not true. They are surrounded and simply outnumbered. Yes, they had miracles during the Yom Kippur War and the 6 day war, but now middle eastern countries are trying to achieve nuclear capabilities.

You are right only in your last point. Nuclear capabilities. Then yes, the game will be out of control for everybody when those savages (Israelis can rule the world financially, but at least they are not savages) get their hands on nukes.
