the value of your alexa rating
 

So I am thinking about getting away from the adult activities on the internet. Selling everything off and concentrating on larger ideas I have.

I have been looking around at the value of a domain name. I also have been looking at names and what they sell for, especially if your name relates to a genre. I see appraisals and auctions and find it interesting to see what is going for what and if its even a ranked site on Alexa. I also notice that being established or not established doesn't seem to matter in some cases.

My question is, do anyone think that Alexa matters? Does a lower number mean a higher value? Does a domain name that relates to genre worth something? I appreciate the comments...

no one really worrys about alexa.

not even its ranked 24,000 and been around since 2001.

Alexa can be faked and hasn't been accurate for the last couple years

I think Alexa is crap, but I have tried to sell a couple of times and people bitch about Alexa either being too high or inaccurately low, although I never really push or care what the Alexa is.
