Seinfeld to King: "Do You Know Who I Am?"
 

It's hard to tell when comedian Jerry Seinfeld is joking and when he's serious, but he looked a bit perturbed when Larry King mixed up his details about Jerry's classic show. What's the deal with that?

On Thursday's "Larry King Live," the King asked Jerry if "Seinfeld" was canceled back in the day, and Jerry seemed genuinely shocked that Larry (his "Bee Movie" co-star) didn't know. "You think I got canceled?" Jerry shot back. "I was the number one show on television, Larry ... 75 million viewers in the last episode." Clearly, Larry is not master of his domain.

As Larry played it off and went to commercial, Jerry threw in one last zinger: "Can we get a resume in here for me for Larry to go over?" Zing!

I think Larry King knows a fair amount about his guests.

The dude is ancient. I'm sure his memory has to be slipping at least a little.

I dislike both parties, so it's a bit of a quandary: Thus, I absolve myself from baring false prophecies by stating: I don't give a shit.

Larry King is one of those "why is he still on the air" types. He was maybe something 20 years ago, but at this point, he is just an annoying old fuck who is entirely irrelevant. For me, he is a total fucking drag on CNN. If I was working I might leave the TV on a channel like CNN just in case something is up, but come 9PM, I am changing the channel because I can't stand to listen to this undead moron.

It is time for him to go. It was time a long time ago, but now would be good.

larry has the worst interviewing skills ever, he knows nothing about the people he has on his show, the questions he asks is like a 3 year old questioning the person

Looks like the article's blowing it out of proportion, if anything... Larry never asked him if he got canceled - he asked him to back up the assertion that he wasn't canceled. There's a difference. :2 cents:

Actually, he's been quoted a number of times as saying he doesn't do research, he doesn't read his guests' books - he thinks that going into an interview with the same information about the guest as his viewers (that is, usually, none) will allow him to ask the same questions his viewers would ask, and that way his show would be more relevant to his viewers.

Which of course, is another way to say that he's just lazy --- and leaves himself open to be embarassed like he was with Seinfeld.

jerry was joking around. larry was just asking any random question to get him to talk, no big news here.

you can't avoid the ads if you try and then the 'pop over' thing covers the video choice section and video commercials play before the video
