My kid called a guy hahahahahaha - Is he a racist ?

Awhile back I was a Costco and we just got in the car and a black guy was walking behind the car and my 9 Year Old yelled out the window "hey Niggar"
two times.

I almost shit my pants and I have never ever said this word to him in his life and my wife doesn't speak english to him so I asked him where did he learn that word.

He told me the cartoon network !

I decided to watch the shows he watches to see what they actually say
and found this out.

There is a show called Fosters Imaginary Friends and they have a small black kid with an afro who is always calling people Niggar (Not hahahahahaha). He always greets other black kids with "What's Up Niggar". He also says things like hot momma to a little white girl plus some other slang like I wanna slap you ass to her etc...

One time he said "baby gots some back" to the white girl and my kid asked me what did it mean

So is my kid racist for saying this word ?

hes a vicitim of his surroundings..
But...rasicm is passed on from one genration to the next...its our repsonsibility to try and change that best we can...

i will also add..at 9 years old..your kid knew exactly what he was saying was wrong.

2 ways to look at it ..

#1 . obviously he isn't a "racist" if he doesnt know what it means .

#2 only yourself to blame if you haven't spoken to him about bad words vs. good words and previewing what he is watching ( no offense or anything , we are all guilty of this at times )

on one hand i find it ridiculous we make certain words "taboo" , especially when they are only taboo for some people. on the other hand i dont want my kids talking like sailor's just yet. lol
