Marine gets even with girlfriend!
 

A Marine stationed in Iraq recently received a "Dear John" letter from his girlfriend back home. It read as follows:

Dear Ricky,

I can no longer continue our relationship. The distance between us is just too great. I must admit that I have cheated on you twice, since you've been gone, and it's not fair to either of us. I'm sorry. Please return the picture of me that I sent to you.

Love, Becky

The Marine, with hurt feelings, asked his fellow Marines for any snapshots they could spare of their girlfriends, sisters, ex-girlfriends, aunts, cousins etc. In addition to the picture of Becky, Ricky included all the other pictures of the pretty gals he had collected from his buddies.


There were 57 photos in that envelope....along with this note:

Dear Becky,

I'm so sorry, but I can't quite remember who you are. Please take your picture from the pile, and send the rest back to me.

I was thinking about this earlier. I would feel pretty bad if some girl I slept with had a significant other that was fighting in Iraq. It is just so un-patriotic.

classic. Got to love that one. Reneber there was anavy guy that got back from Iraq and his GF came to greet him with stuffed belly.. he was gone for over a year. He clocked her right after getting off the deck.

I support our troops 100%. Those guys are dying for our freedom and for the freedom of the Iraqis. They have it tough on many fronts.

That use to be true 30 to 50 years ago when most grunts on the frontline were lucky to get mail once a month. These days they have full fledge post offices just for american soldiers and lets not forget the webcams they use to actually look face to face with their loved ones on a daily basis. Actual snapshots are not as important anymore.
