                      I agree firefox can be a memory hog and I did notice it with my Windows laptop. I don't notice it as much with my Mac G5

                                  I really dislike most extensions, but the ones that make my life almost usable again with FF are:

                                  FoxyTunes
                                  Qute Blue Theme
                                  WeatherFox (whatever the hell it's called now)

                                          I added a few to my existing ones from the list but I had to uninstall a few because FF slowed down my late 2005 mini mac.
