Wordpress with feedwordpress HEEEEEELP :)

Hope someone can help us :)

Here is the scoop, I'm running Wordpress 2.3.1 with feedwordpress version 0.99.

Some feeds work with no problems. I Syndicate it, pull the feeds, they show up, they update..perfect. This happens for 10% of the feeds I try to add. Site such as Topbucks, TCG, even ours..they all word fine.

The other 90% of the feeds don't show up, I add the feed URL. It takes me to "Feed Finder: New Syndicated Feed" I click "use this feed", its adds the site/feed under "Syndicated Sites".

The problem is when I hit "update" I get

Updating Fresh free Interracial galleries from "what ever the URL is"
Updating from <> ...
Update complete. 0 new posts were syndicated and 0 existing posts were updated

It basically does not add any post. I'm thinking my version of WP does not like feedwordpress? I get this with feeds from OCcash, meatcash, fuckyoucash..to name a few.

If any could solve this for me I will be forever in debt to you :)

thx,
Ray

i've ran into some issues with 2.3.1 on WP-o-matic. Seems that WP mixed things up a big and totally boned users of wp-o-matic.
I'm gunna go ahead and guess that feedwordpress users are screwed as well.

Your best bet is to roll back to 2.2.3 imo

Same problem with AutoBlogger and Wordpress 2.3.
I've turned back to version 2.2 :)

Really?

How do we roll back..simply upload the older version?

1000 thx,
Ray

OK downgraded to 2.2 and I still get "Update complete. 0 new posts were syndicated and 0 existing posts were updated" from the same feeds.

Dang :(

i tested all the versions of wordpress and feedwordpress

and the only one that will work with no problems is

wordpress 2.0.11 and feedwordpress 0.98

i tested it on a couple other versions and hosts and my conclusion is it's an issue with SimplePie not wordpress. The 2.3 version of WP however; Is a real problem. I think they changed up the DB structure a bit :Oh crap

Boy am I thankful for this thread...I have been tearing my hair out trying to figure out why my feeds wouldn't update. Sorry to hear about your troubles but at the same time relieved to see this is a known issue. Hopefully RadGeek will address this in a "near" future release of feedwordpress.

some many fuckers doing blogs nowadays... all are copying that method thiking they will do 10k a month out of it...

it's good to know that 90% of them will fail because they don't know some tricks to do the job correctly...

its funny to see so many fuckers building up 50 cookie cutter blogs thinking they will do a lot of money from it... the most you can do is 500 bucks per month with luck...

I had the exact same issue, glad it wasn't just me as well. hopefully someone will post a fix, i don't really want to roll back

have you tried running the feed through feedburner? that usually solves 90% of my feed issue

d-null 11-05-2007 02:29 AM

not naming any names, but wasn't there a dude on here some months back talking about how great of an idea it was to put together a bunch of fed blogs and just sit back and watch the easy money, and now currently he is getting out of the business all together?

it will probably get even worse when google keeps tweaking and these kinds of crappy thin fed blogs disappear down the rankings
