Best server stats software ?

What is the best server stats software for linux/freebsd ? Right now i'm thinking Urchin or WUsage.

Any experiences or recommendations ?

Thanks

awstats, webalizer :)

thx dennis. Webalizer looks good (free!) but it seems to only be per domain where as urchin can be configured for multiple domain tracking.

i use urchin on 8 boxes. pretty happy with it.

quiet, is their $695 license for 100 domains or is it per server?

can it handle 500,000+ hits a day (you should know) ?

i use urchin 3 across 6 boxes, urchin 2 is running on the other 2. i'm doing almost 3 M uniques/day, and 3 doesn't have any problem with that. version 2 does have issues over 1 M uniques.

licensing - i haven't upgraded to version 4 yet, so i am not 100% sure what the deal is currently. i'd assume it's going to be 5-600 bucks per server (unless you or your admin can figure away to compile the logs of different servers together before running thru urchin ;))

I have urchin 3 ded

The license says 25 domain limit but I have about 50 domains on that box and it tracks all of them

Thinking of upgrading to 4 but I am told it is a real bitch to install, and that makes me nervous.

analog is the best by far

you can use awstats with several domains.

awstats is good (just like webalizer) but is only good up to 1,000,000 uniques a month (which is nothing)

I don't think webalizer can handle a big load like that either.

Urchin seems the best by far and their demo kicks ass.. guess i'd better go grab my wallet :feels-hot

BTW for $700 they'd better have a good installation guide.

Awstats! Easily customizable and you have 100s of
config combinations.

The data caching is nice to have when you're not
packing 100gigs for log storage.

... and it's free, what can you say bad about something
free.

What OS are you running it on? The uniques are all
handled with hash arrays that are "unlimited" in the
awstats.pl. You should be doing more 1,000,000.
