Help me welcome a new member to the home!

Her name is "BB" she was a present we got for my 8 yr old daughter. She is 3 weeks old pure breed poodle, and only goes to bed near me (ahhh) I'm normally not the "mushy" type of animal lover, but this little pile of fur has definitely plucked the old heart strings

Thanks Ben. My kids love her, and so does the wife. It's funny because that's why I'm still up. Every time I put her in her cage she won't stop crying till I put her in the bed with us. Then she comes, and snuggles right next to me.

Thanks guys. She's been keeping us up though, but hopefully that will pass soon

Omar cage training them early is really important, specially so they do not think that the cage is a punishment box. They stop crying pretty quickly though it may feel like forever. As it stands though your letting your dog train you.

By the way you said 3 weeks, did you by chance mean to say 13 weeks? Three weeks is awful damn young, hell even way to young to be away from its mother.

I myself have just got a mini fox terrier, she is currently sound asleep in her cage at the foot of my bed. Door is not even locked anymore. Mine is about to hit 14 weeks I think. I got it when it was a little past 12 weeks as the breeder likes to keep them two weeks longer than most breaders (10 weeks is average).

By the way better get a good vet now. Poodles require a lot of upkeep and are damn mean little dogs (sorry personal issues) and very territorial. Watch it around any small children as it grows.

Cute looking puppy

VicD 10-29-2007 03:43 AM

very sweet

Cash 10-29-2007 03:45 AM

Welcome, dog :)

Sarah_Jayne 10-29-2007 04:28 AM

Congrats :) I also agree on cage training. Mine have been using it since day one and not only do they not think it is punishment when the spaniel feels she needs 'alone' time she goes in there by herself and curls up. I would imagine you do mean 13 weeks...it looks about that age.

One last plea...please allow it to have natural a cute hair rather than using it as a topiary as often happens with poodles.

Ack just realized that you named that bundle of cuteness and eventual childhood beast spawn of nightmares BB, the same name that my Great Grandmother named her pet whom obviously gnawed through the ankles and slowly ate Cerberus to overtake his job outside of hades before becoming my Great Grandmothers lap villain.
