(Cabribi Green, for those of you who don't know, is where the movie Candyman took place. Used to be known as one of the most notorious housing projects in the country. Only a few buildings left now. Turned the area into condos...lol)

Right after 9/11 last year I was comin' back from Europe...about a month later. What a fuckin' nightmare that was! Ugh! None of the airports in the whole world knew what to do...it was such a mess!

I was actually in Mexico right before 9/11. I got back the night before! I was so lucky! My buddies stayed behind & ended up be stuck there for another 3 weeks! Talk about an expensive little vacation! LOL. They actually talked me into stayin' there a few extra days...and at the last minute I decided I really needed to get back & caught the last flight outter Cabo that day. If I missed that flight I would've been stuck down there w/ 'em. Ugh. I can't even imagine....

best part is is that daley was wise enough to put these people in new shared semi-subsidised developements, for once public housing actually encourages economic growth. why concentrate a problem when you can evenly disperse it. Id feel shitty not having a job when everyone around me does.

He's a great Mayor! I hope he stays in power for a long time. He's done wonders for this city! :thumbsup

Personally, I think those people are given WAY too mcuh handed to them. They need to get a freakin' job. Of course, they're all bitchin' about the projects bein' knocked down too. I believe that's the only reason the few left standing are still there...
