How many hours would a shemp have to work to complete this service?

It will cost 2-3kfor a 30 pager, but keep in mind that most b-plans are binders full of info if you want any attention.

business plans are easy to "write" - a little involved time wise - the hard part is coming up with the plan/concept that actually holds up to writing the full plan with out throwing it out the fuck'n window.

the real question is what do you need the plan written for? just as reference/question the ideas' validity or is it for financing?

If your looking to do a Private Placement meaning raising money from private people (Also knows as a 504) you can download the most recent boiler plates and then add your business plan in plain english and also the money needed and use of proceeds etc.

You will also need something called "Projections" in most cases 3 years is ok, that is how much money do you expect to make and from what and how much you plan to spend and on what and also a P/L and Balance sheet (future that is) unless you have current revenue etc.

If you hire someone make sure that you have the basics so they can work withit or else it will take forever.

Depending what your doing it can be as small as 30 pages.

A good idea with a well written business plan will be a big help in raising money.

also you need to have X amount of shares and X amount your selling and outlining for how much per share.

You'll have to spend like 3-5K on one and ALWAYS and I repaeat ALWAYS ask samples and contact numbers of people that they did work for or you will mostlikley GET SCREWED.

Back in my corporate life, we used to get in the neighborhood of $5-7K including full projections, corporate officer porfiles, resumes, studies, trends, community income, community needs, kep demographics, etc.

As mentioned above, always get samples first, plsu get AND contact references of those doing your business plan. I remember the fun of explaining to a client that just spent $5K on a shitty business plan why they shoul turn around and spend another $5K with my company...yikes...I must have went through a case of pepto bismal a month...

back in the good dot bomb days people would spend 30-50K on a plan too and if it was signed by guys like PWC or some other accounting firm it would really cost some cash.

As a investor I always saw plans to be honest I looked at the small ones first and the real big ones I always pushed around.

Whatever you do remember to make something called an "Executive Summary" that in 5 pages or less tells the potential investor what you do.

The funny thing is now people are trying to raise 30-50K just 2 years ago that use to be the bill for the business plan or sometimes dinner :-)

What else do you miss from the dot bomb days?
