Does Buffalo, NY suck that much to live in?

I'm buddy's with Lawyer Milloy and when he joined the Buffalo Bills a couple of years ago... he hated it out there. Said there wasn't shit to do and that there were no women. He had to ship his 360 Modena back to Washington and couldn't drive most of his cars up there during the season because of the weather. Only his Hummer.

Now Willis McGahee tells the media pretty much the same thing. Nothing to do but chain restaurants and the women suck.

So whats up Buffalo New Yorkers? Is it really that bad up there?

After Shock Media 10-27-2007 12:05 PM

Weather does indeed suck.

Depends on your perspective.

As a photographer who photographs a lot of old, abandoned buildings and factories...Buffalo is great for that sort of thing. Bethlehem Steel in Lackawanna is an amazing place to shoot.

Been to Buffalo a few times. Honestly, it is an ex-city, pretty much still buried somewhere about 1960s or so. There is some development around there, but it is a very, very blue collar town that had pretty much all of it's industry rust away. It may catch up one day.

They are so scared that Toronto might get an NFL team that they have offered to play one pre-season and one in season home game at the Rogers Center (skydome) in Toronto.

When you are scared of us Canadians, you suck. :)

The coldest I've ever been is when I saw Buffalo on TV in February.

I have a good friend there...and yes indeed, it does suck.

i have a big soft spot in my heart for Buffalo but it really is a shithole - there are some nice suburbs, good schools, decent place for families but for a young guy with money it would be a shitty place compared to most other NFL cities. probably the worst. they've lost so much of their population, mostly of the young variety, they try to revitalize the downtown but it's futile.

not to mention the animals who go to Bills games - more fights than any stadium in the NFL.

I've only drove through it a few times but i wouldn't live there. it really looks like there is nothing to do ..

I wasn't impressed with Buffalo. It's dull, decrepit, and full of poor black people.

pr0 10-27-2007 02:07 PM

Aj from camazon, Wiredguy, tree, Dwreck from webcamcash, & myself all met up there a little while back this year.....the whole city fucking sucks, theres not dick to do & the strip clubs are the worst in the world.

Don't think i saw one hot girl the whole time i was there....

The Seneca casino is about the only thing to do....& the nicest hotel in town, is a dirty piece of shit with a crappy bar and a resteraunt where you end up with hair on your plate for breakfast

fuck buffalo, fuck it in its cold, disgusting, dreary, poor asshole

oh btw, i know some fat ugly girls who love going 2 buffalo, simply for the fact its easy for them to find decent looking guys to fuck partying in buffalo

pr0 10-27-2007 02:09 PM

All of the young buffalo kids goto toronto to party on weekends....so theres no hot 18-21 yo girls in buffalo on weekends, ever, period.

I live in Rochester, about 60 miles away. Buffalo, to me, is an industrial shithole...but I don't have to live there. Weather has only been real bad in the winter from maybe December to March. 4 months the past few years of real "winter" weather.

Also, it's a college town. Pr0 probably wasn't hitting the right spot. There are plenty of hot spots in Buffalo. But yes, a large number DO cross the borders because in Canada you can drink at 19.

What do people in Buffalo do? DRINK. Seriously, it's cold, there aren't a lot of landmarks, sports teams are mediocre. I still find it fun as hell, but I think that's cause it's my old stomping ground.

Buffalo is in the top ten cities for the most people moving out... houses are wicked cheap, all cars have rust, and lake effect snow is horrible.

Rochester is actually a more fun city and it gets way less snow.

tony286 10-27-2007 08:16 PM

I think buffalo I think lots of snow. lol
