My neighbor won $16 million on lotto 6/49
yep - blair won $16 million dollars. Known him all my life. runs the corner store down the block - like 8 houses away - from the house i grew up in in gimli.
for those that have been to gimli - it's the owner of G&C grocery. got into a discussion with some people today- most said they would travel the world like no one else could do. I thought about this - i wouldn't. I've honestly done that. and still do it regurally. traveling to probally over 50 porn conventions around the world in over 20 countries I've been able to see the world - first class - with my PEERS - people who UNDERSTAND ME and I love hanging out with - at a level $16 million alone without the connections I have from this business could not afford. and they arn't mooching off me either - everyone pays their own way and at a 1st class level! now for those of us who travel to porn shows THINK ABOUT THAT. winning $16 million can't even replace the times we've had at the level we've had them at. imagine buying out every nightclub and entire hotels for your friends - stuff like that and you'd burn your entire $16 million in a year - and we've done it for years! I'm HONESTLY happier I'm in this business than winning $16 tax free cash. Thank you God. |

WTF, was this a thread to talk about your neighbor winning money or for you to brag about your world travels and why your life is so great.
i dont think anyone gives a shit about your travels or your neighbor winning the lotto. but thanks for sharing. |
hey sleazy, am i going to see you in San Fran next month?

If I won $16 million I really couldnt imagine I would stop working, and couldnt really imagine what I would use them for, other than investing into bigger business mayby |
Congrats to him then. That's a nice amount of moolah.

did he pick his own numbers?

Reminds me on the only person I ever experienced winning in a lottery..
I know my grandmother and many people around were betting every week for tens of years and they were from the working class not having much to spend (I never bet as far as it's easy to calculate our 6 from 49 lottery is 1: 14 mil. chance to win). The only person me and they ever knew that won was way back in 94 or something and it was this guy who inherited some serious real estate after 89' iron curtain fall and was already a millionaire! |
about 9 years ago I was at my dads house, I was only 15 at the time and he was buying my brother and I some clothes for xmas. Before we left the house he told me to remind him to put his lottery on that night, so I did, I reminded him twice infact then I had to leave to come home as I had a paper round the next morning.
Well, my dad forgot to put his ticket on that night and his numbers came out. The jackpot was £18 million. Two winners getting 9 million pounds each, if his ticket was on then it would have been 3 winners getting 6 million pounds each! I still remind him of it to this day :P |

when was the last time you won 16mil tax free? |
I would buy 60 pairs of Calvin Klein underwear
|
hmmm I could buy a lot of traffic with 16: :p
|
I like seeing people who really deserve it win. People who have spent their whole lives never earning more than say 40k/year. And give me a break dude. Of course money can't replace memories but im sure 16 million could get someone to 50 porn conventions if thats what they wanted.

I'm not sure you can compare going to a porn convention in a city/country to actually visiting it as a tourist. I know my husband has gone to a lot of shows and spends most of his time at the hotel, around their pool, or they jump in a limo and go somewhere but never actually "see" the city.
I would take the 16 million hands down |
Blair is a great guy and I'm very happy for him ;-)

c'mon sleazy, don't be jealous ;)
|
I heard this guy on the radio the other day being interviewed. His ticket was a quickpick, he purchased it from his own grocery store. He sounded like a really nice friendly guy, definitely a nice winfall for him.
I hope he manages it wisely, most people out there have no clue how to handle that much cash. |
congrats to him

Thanks for sharing I guess...

If I won $16 Million I'd put it into some save investments to make 10% per year from it.
That would be $1.6 Million per year, so $4383 daily and there's no way I need or want to spend more than that per day (I don't include taxes in this calculation). Well, perhaps I'd buy some more typein domains, but not for more than a million. I'd park them and start constant travelling around the world indeed, without actively doing anything in online/adult at all anymore. I'd have fun and gain new experiences for 2-3 years and then I'd settle down somewhere, although I'd still be having lots of time and money to travel. But I guess I'd get married, and come back maybe to develop one of my domains into a mainstream web business. Nothing in adult anymore, no GFY for sure. I'd also do some silent charity work and support some local sports club. Ok, $16Million isn't THAT much, but Im talking about some small stuff, just about having something to plan, think about, take care of. I really doubt I'd start a big business from that $16Million. I'm just not as much money driven in life, as most people here. IMO people are more important than money. I'd rather have 5 REAL friends than $50 Million and only fake people around me. I guess I'd just live comfortable, wouldn't do any excessive spending like buying 5 different Ferraris and lambos etc. Yes, I know, on GFY if you want to be cool, you just have to say that if you won $16 Million, you would work hard even more, trying to make $100M of it... but I have no problems admitting that I wouldn't. I was poor as a kid, right now I'm already doing quite good, and a $16Million level would be definitely enough. |
funny thread, nice way to brag LOL, what a fucking joke this guy is. I have seen so many threads that you make just to talk about yourself. This is to funny
|
But too be honest, I don't even think I'd want to win anything.
People don't believe me when I'm saying it usually but I'd rather earn money through my own ideas than just win it. |
another retarded thread by mr. slob himself
|
I'd rather have the 16 mil and travel with my friends and family then people I do business with. Don't get me wrong, i consider some people in this biz friends, but they are not the people who invite me over for dinner on my bday, buy my kid presents etc. When I go to shows I am on someone else's schedule, go have dinner with him here, go meet someone for lunch there. When I go on vacation with my wife, family, friends, there are no schedules, having to talk about work, or the stress of sometimes trying to get a deal done.
|
Don't be jealous he has more money than you, fat boy.
|
ya 16 mill is quite a nice chunck of change.
sure would have a blast spending it if I won it. was trying for the 20 mill draw last night but had no damn luck here. |

BTW, if I won the lottery, I would never tell ANYONE ;) |
I could easily retire on 5 million and enjoy myself a great deal. 1 week of travel per month, house paid for cars paid for... easy.
Those who say 'oh no big deal' are dumb. |
Your neighbours a lucky bastard and so are you
