Refunds and Chargebacks - do you push sponsors that take money back?

Being that there are so many programs that don't ever bother you about refunds or chargebacks, does anyone here actually push programs that do?!

I can understand if you send crap traffic, why pay someone that costs you money?!! But why would a program that you're sending people to take money back just because the person didn't like their site?! Not our job... We just get them there.

I've had two sponsors now that I've had to remove links for cuz after sending them plenty of sales, they're nickel and diming me over a refund.

Any comments?!

:Oh crap

Revshare = split refunds/CB:s
PPS = I would not use a sponsor deducting for refunds/CB:s

Yeah, I'm finding that many PPS programs are doing the same thing...

You gotta love when you are on revshare and have the same surfer charge back 6 months at the same time. make you say umm how the hell

baddog 10-24-2007 06:51 PM

If the program doesn't get paid you shouldn't get paid.. period.

I don't agree... If I send $2000 in sales to a sponsor per month, piss off with a 20 buck refund! That's all I'm saying.... Most sponsors seem to bend over backwards if you've got good traffic, so it just seems to me that this doesn't make much sense.

Obviously, if you send crap and have a bunch of refunds all the time, then you should be dropped completely by the sponsor period. That I agree with.

Most PPS programs don't deduct, but I don't see a problem with it. It's not a sale if they chargeback or refund. In most sales positions with companies they take the commission back for returns.

Any big PPS really deduct for CB/refunds? That's fucked up. Do they give you extra then for upsells, xsells, mailings etc?

BAKO 10-24-2007 09:23 PM

This pay period alone i have over $110 in charge-backs and I'm not going to name the sponsor

Um wouldnt those extra's be the 50 to 100 per sign up payouts on 1.00 trials or whatever?

I feel revshare is an easy out on chargebacks. However I do not feel that refunds should be cut n dry. Typically there is a refund reason, if it was site related then site should eat it regardless. If it was some promise via promotion related then that is more questionable.
