PC mags are shit
 

I haven't purchased a PC mag for a while now but the other day I wanted to see some new games coming out, so i purchased PC GAMER mag, about $14 AUD. Its a world exclusive on FarCry 2. I get the mag home, open it up, great it has a DVD inside, maybe a movie preview but what do I find 4 geek gamers at some expo playing a zombie game.. great let me just watch them play this fucken demo for 30 minutes and be amazed. Where is my fucken PLAYABLE DEMO bitch?

Farcry 2 screenshot are lame, doesn't show much of the game at all and the writter tells more about FarCry1 then #2.

So I purchased NetGuide Mag today, $4.95 AUD (australian mag) and its showing me Flickr. WOW.. 2 fucken years ago I would have been nice but now... and 80% of the magazine is ads.

Never buying another magazine again.

Yeah I'm surprised PC mags exist in this day and age .... suppose it makes good bog reading material ....

why would you buy a mag for $14
if it's available online for free?

I think the magazines are now aiming toward the people who still use www.startpage.com to surf the web..

Why buy a 50 page magazine for 14$ while you have millions and millions of pages for free on the net..
