Looks like there is plenty of blame to go around. Why do things have to always go so far to hell before anyone thinks?
Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't these fires pretty much the government's fault that they get so damn destructive these days, a result of forestry mismanagement and general meddling of nature? Fires are a part of nature, they are supposed to sweep through areas often, kind of like natures maid, burning up rubbish. Humans always like to put them out when they get started, thus the rubbish builds and builds and when one gets going it really goes, and since small fires were not allowed to burn and keep the accumulated shit down, there really is no stopping them now.
No one seems to have learned a damn thing since Katrina.
