One thing about the hi-def TV

Watching the news, with the doors open gives the impression of being there with the smell of smoke in the air.

AaronM 10-23-2007 05:51 PM

Damn......That would be cool in a very uncool sort of way.

Well, not knowing what you have, all I can say is that even though I would never buy a Sony PC/laptop, they make great TV's.

The shuttle launch today was pretty kick ass in HD.

Almost all TV's look like shit in the stores. Bad lighting, out of box settings or people fucking with the settings. Not to mention video feeds that get degraded because they're split amongst so many different sets.

Turn off as many of the other sets on the same feed as you can and ask for the remote of the TV(s) you're interested in so you can adjust the settings. Most stores won't have a problem with that.

they are unbelievable..what you see in stores is usually a standard def signal up-converted to high def so no it doesn't look that good but the first time you watch discovery HD theater on a hi def TV it will take your breath away...Guaranteed.

Sadly reminds me of 9/11 with the smell the next day..

Another thing bad about hd tv...

people with bad complexions! Man, some of these "stars" need better make up people. It's amazing how well blemishes, zits, etc. show up on people's faces in hd!

Oh you can tell the difference when you compare an HD channel with the regular channel...I almost refuse to watch anything now that isn't in HD.

That was the first thing I noticed.

Didn't your parents teach you to not sit so close to the TV?
