Do you know anyone that does editing in this category? I'm looking for an editor. No-one seems to be creating new listings or hasn't for months.

Or years LOL i've tried to get my stuff listed there since 2001 LOL. Yahoo eventually succumbed to my repetitive nagging however useless there listing is lol.

Well, look at their listings and the quality of the sites...looks like some addicted porn surfers (=editors) hired family and friends to put together a bunch 1998 style sites to make them some money.

Its all sewn up, cronieism at is best, if thats even a word.

i first submitted 3 years ago. Tried twice since then. Has anyone had their sites listed in Dmoz in the last couple of years?

I've had some mainstream sites get DMOz in past few years... but never adult.

DMOZ proves that humans do it better, if by better you mean fucks things up until there is nothing left.

:( Yes, DMOZ is dead, reviewers working really slow, and before the few months, DMOZ losted whole!!! new submission database with submission of the 1 day to 1 year and more (and all editors was glad :( for it!).

DMOZ Is slow (visually it don't work), reviewers are mostly turtles (show me single one, which isn't, all my submission of the big regular sites from the 96 wasn't listed and no reply email was sent to me...), so it going to the shit from the 1996

I'm hearing this stories "I'm waiting 2 years for the DMOZ listing..." from the '96...

It need new system and 10* more of the NEW reviewers.

The good alternative is to make revolution, from the inside, and replace reviewers in the minorit categories, but this is work for the free (i don't know it sure, so who will do it...)...

For the longest time every time I tried to submit sites there was something about a database being lost and them working on backups and because of that no new submissions were being taken.

Getting listed on DMOZ is like playing the lottery except instead of winning millions you get 2 shinny pennies.

DMOZ died a long time ago, I don't know why Google gives them authority since they're BS ...
