How's Brock Lesnar gonna do in UFC?

What's your take?

with his amateur wrestling background and the MMA training he has been doing.. if they promote him right.. he will be the next big thing.. IMO there is only a few people in the UFC worth the fights.. Couture was one of them till he quit and Fedor was the other untill he signed with another company.. not many can match Brocks size, speed and strength

I'd say about as good as his stint in the nfl

Ass kicked when he meets a real opponent

No clue how he'll do in the UFC, I've only seen him in WWE :P
He's a big boy though... i'm sure he'll put on a good show :)

When you consider that he hadn't played football since high school he actually did ok in his NFL tryout. The Vikings offered him the opportunity to play in NFL Europe so he obviously impressed a few people, but he turned it down for whatever reason.

He's not quite as cut as he was in the WWE but he is still every bit as big. The WWE always lies about the wrestlers heights and weights so Brock was never 300 pounds. He was always around 265 in the WWE and he is around 265 now. He's not as ripped because he is not as focused on weight training now as he is MMA training.

I think he is going to do great so long as the UFC doesn't try and rush him right into a high level fight. The guy only has one MMA fight and I never could understand why people want to rush a guy into a high level fight right off the bat. I hear the same shit about Kimbo, that he should be fighting MMA veterans before he has even has an official MMA fight (the Mercer fight was an exhibition). You wouldn't expect any other MMA novice to fight a Tim Sylvia or a Cheick Kongo right off the bat irregardless of their credentials, so why should either of those guys?

Absolutely.
But I think Dana's smart enough to realize he'll get a high buy rate with Brock on the card -- even if he's fighting a wooden dummy. After the first couple of fights with the hype dying down a bit, and assuming he wins, then they'll be some motivation to get him in against bigger names.

But you have to admit, there are some intriguing heavyweight matchups available these days, especially with him in the mix.

I loved the interview with Brock where he was bashing Tm Sylvia, calling him the Swamp Thing and saying he damn near had webbed feet. Brock also has a ton of charisma and will be fun to watch riling up the other heavyweights with his mouth...
