Anyone else thinking of going to grad school?

Not for the money but just for intellectual stimulation? I've always toyed with the idea of getting a Masters in History (my undergrad major). If you are, what field would you like to get your advanced degree in?

There is a wealth of knowledge at the library, unless you want a degree, you don't need to pay thousands of dollars for someone to tell you what books to read, if you just want to learn you don't need a school.

I got my MBA about a year ago. I really enjoyed working on the degree and there is a lot of practical application I use from it. Much more than I saw in my Bachelors in CS.

Waste of time. I dropped out of college because it was a waste of money. If I wanted to learn something, just get on Amazon and order some books. Plus, I hate the politics college... far too much fucking socialism/communism love everybody for who they are bullshit for my liking.

Either MBA or Biochem Fast track

Professors always told me one of the key reasons for going to grad school is to make connections, just throwing it out there!

Hehe, I hear you.. and I quote Tony Robbins (ya I know gay but a good point). Use your library to borrow audio tapes, and just with your drive to work listening to them you can get a university degree for free on the topic of your choice.

Maybe if you go to MU or some other big name schools. what I don’t is people that waste time in South-East Louisiana Tech type schools majoring in flute administration. Go figure.

Actually this is not a bad idea is you just want stimulation. You can sometimes even sit-in on class lectures depending on the size of the class and course.

katushka 10-23-2007 12:22 PM

I am actually thinking of returning myself...but to complete Law School. I too have a passion as a life long scholar. If i had the time, I would spend it learning how to build an airplane. They fascinate me.

thinking about it.. business

polish_aristocrat 10-23-2007 12:39 PM

I may do postgraduate studies in a year but mostly to feel like I'm back in school, gain new experiences, get some fixed schedules and meet new people.

But obviously I wouldn't think about it if there wasn't anything I may be interested in... and I guess psychology would be a cool thing.

That's the degree for me. :thumbsup

Go for it!!! If I didn't have any responsibilities, like rent, car payment, and bills, I'd so be in school full time right now.

TubeTitans_SusieQ 10-23-2007 01:04 PM

I'm thinking about going back for Broadcasting and Media...it should be lots of fun...can't wait

Great responses so far.

Like I said, it's not to get more money or to get a job. Just for intellectual challenge in an environment where you exchange and debate ideas and critique each other's documented work.
