Paxil side effects

I need to find something other than paxil. It's killing me.

I banged the wife the other night for hours, got the blow job to end all blow jobs and still couldn't get a nut. Google pointed me to the paxil as the cause.

Anbody using something else that i might ask the doc about?

You can try Wellbutrin, but I found that I had problems sleeping when on it.

I tried that once. Put me on edge even more.

Lexapro isn't bad if general anxiety is the issue. I know when my ex girlfriend was on Paxil I would have to go down on her until my jaw was stiff to make her cum, and it got a lot better when she went on Lexapro. From what I hear it affects males and females in almost the same way...

I wish it was general anxiety. It's general wanting to kill mother fuckers :1orglaugh The paxil takes the edge off. I reckon I'll have to ask doc hottie. And she is hot. Maybe i can get her to give me a blow job to prove it.

i got off Paxil awhile ago. i couldnt get hard while on it

RevengeBucks_Monica 10-22-2007 05:07 PM

Unfortunately, most anti-depressants carry this type of side effect. You'll have to try an anti-depressant that's from a different class of drugs than Paxil. Have you tried Effexor? I'm pretty sure it's different.

Another thing to consider is they are using drugs like Serezone to treat bipolar (assuming that's your issue). There are a lot of other drugs out there now, but unfortunately it can be hell trying new drugs out.

I like the way you think. Unfortunatley, I'm not in a pot semi-friendly state.

Part of the issue may be the need to work on treating the issue, and slowly wean yourself off the pills altogether. If nothing else, with concentrated efforts with your doctors, you may be in a position to lower the dosages or move to a product that is less invasive to your lifestyle.

Good luck.

madleinx 10-23-2007 08:44 AM

Prozac is better for me. But I still couldn't come for the first month. Why are they giving you SSRIs for homicidal urges? :error

Maybe try Seroquel and some Valium.....

According to the shrink I met with, I suffer from passive/agressivness. One minute I'm passive and all cool, next minute, someone really ticks me off. It's kind of like the whole "Mr. McGee, don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry." syndrome.

So it looks like I'm going to break down and start seeing a shrink so I can get off the dope. Time to go deal with my unresolved anger issues. :)

Paxil is very evil shit. Not the least of which is killing your sex life. It is very difficult to quit, and sometimes impossible. Reduce the dosage gradually.

RawAlex 10-23-2007 08:51 AM

Well, even if you can't entirely clear the decks, dealing with the issue head on might allow you to run with lower doses of the drug or it's replacement. Drugs without a search for a cure or resolution just pushes off to tomorrow what needs to be looked at today.

:)

Try Klonopin for the aggressive urges but only take it when you're feeling angry. Depakote might help too.

Angie77 10-23-2007 10:03 AM

Try Lexapro. Expensive but worth it.

Forest 10-23-2007 10:52 AM

lexapro didnt work for me but i know alot of people who have done well on it

Paxil is an evvvvilllllll drug. be prepared to come off it slowly and the withdrawl from it is not fun

:2 cents:

you could be bi-polar

C_U_Next_Tuesday 10-23-2007 10:56 AM

My doc tried to put me on that shit.. i took it for a few months and got myself off of it. Anti depressants are EVIL.. I believe they cause alot more grief than they do happiness.

Anna_Miller 10-23-2007 11:04 AM

I think Dr's are too quick to put people on anti-depressants. If you don't have a real chemical imbalance going on then the side effects can be brutal.

From what I have read Prozac & Paxil are at the top of the side effect list.
Cymbalta & Lexapro are supposed to have less side effects.
Wellbutrin is supposed to have the least (but it can cause anxiety).

Europeans have used 5HTP for decades to treat depression. It is the pre-cursor to Seratonin and you can get it at Walgreens. You can't take it while taking other antidepressants though. I think there is a lot to be said for diet too.
