and of course you have one added problem that as all morden cars are designed to crumple in a crash when you weld two half cars togeather the join is eather stronger or weaker than the rest of the car, eather way makes a hell of a mess if the things crashed

i assume its just body work, replace the hood and front body with one of a bmw
