My Crazy Night (Pics)

Ok so first I need to back up a bit, I've been very sad and lonely for awhile now so I decided I needed to get myself a puppy (I've had dogs most of my life) so anyway I hunted for the last few months in the paper and various places to find a dog to warm my home.

Well just about a month ago I found my match.....
http://jjwebworks.com/samia2.jpg
Samia (Sah-My-Ah) I found her in the paper, she is a Lab/Terrirer Mix and just about 7-8 months old.

The only things I knew about Samia (other then her name lol) was that Crystal (the former owner) was moving and could not take Samia with her, and for the last month or so Samia was living at her friends house as an outside dog.

Samia was a great dog, for these last 4 weeks, but something seemed a bit odd with her, I remarked a few times, "I think my dog might be pregnant" and I was told pretty bluntly that: "Your crazy that dog is not pregnant"

Well, She had been sick for the last two days now, would not eat, or leav her spot on the (brand new pricey) couch, and she was spitting up quite a bit.

I left for work this morning, came back home, and then left again. I got home about 7pm or so and made my dinner.

After dinner Samia and I were chillin on the couch and she was VERY VERY "clingy" I rolled her off of my chest and she rested at my side laying on the couch, I was rubbing her belly when I noticed... By golly your nipples have some beef to them?????

I hit the internet and looked up "Dog Pregnancy Signs" and I was damn near convinced that Samia might just be preggers.

I called up my friend and asked her "How much would the vet charge to see if Samia is preggers?" My friend (Joyce) said "Samia's not pregnant" I said I'm pretty sure she might be, she's showing ALLOT of the signs.

Joyce said she would come over and check and she would be able to tell if indeed Samia WAS or WAS NOT Preggers.

I hung up the phone, and got off the couch, got dressed (I lounge in my boxers lol) and when I turned around Samia was in the corner of the couch which was wet.

I assumed she pissed on the couch so I got mad, I grab her by her collar and pulled her down off the couch (I WAS gental cause at this point I thought she was sick OR preggers) As she went from the couch to the Ottoman I noticed something.... little... black... and MOVING, and still attached to Samia mind you.

This cemented what I thought, not only WAS my dog pregnant BUT she was having her puppies on my couch lol.

I moved her and her puppy to the floor to a blanket, called Joyce and while trying to maintain my cool (which was a very hard thing to do lol) and over the next few hours Samia had SIX puppies......

yeah ONLY thing I can think is when she got her first heat (around 6 months old) she got tapped)

I wonder if the prior owner had ANY idea this dog was pregnant or not before I got her lol

I'm 10 days from doing the same with my Pug. Thankfully we know she's pregnant, so the only surprise will be finding out how many pups she has in there.

Great story, thanks for sharing.

Damn, what a little slut she must have been.

I wonder if the original owner really knew how old she was.

What will you do with the pups?

She is in fact just over 8 months now, Crystal (her original owner) had her from 8 weeks on.

All any of us can figure is she got jumped during her first heat (about 6 months) when she was outside for about a month.

As for the pups, most are spoken for by friends and family, I'm going to try like hell to keep one of them, but I'll have to wait and see how the next 8 weeks go lol.
