Pretty much the worst place to do it.. then i was hopping on a train to go back home someone tried to steal my bag/jacket, THEN the entire train was full of people dressed in goth attire, makeup and all. In a nutshell one of the worst days I've had in a long long time...

Anyone have any advice for me to get over the breakup? I've had a relationship nearly this long and i have usually been the one ending the relationship..

The best thing to do is to chill the fuck out, go out and have some good fun, whatever that might be for you. Reconnect with friends. Enjoy being single and do some things for yourself.

Once you chill out, air your mind out, sit down and do some work. It's probably one the most creative times ever.

My sympathies. My gf of almost 3 years dumped me recently as well. At least yours did it properly, face to face, and in person. Mine did it over txt message and the bitch lives in queens, and I a few stops from her.

It was hard at first because although 2/3 years does not sound like much--we had made a lot of future plans/arrangements and went through some serious struggles.

All I can tell you buddy is to go out, splurge on yourself (new clothes, new gear, new everything) and go out by yourself. Leave the cockblocking friends at home. Go to the East Village and bar hop this weekend and be free. You will have fun, I promise you that mate.

I really appreciate that man, and txt message break up has to be one of the worst things ive ever heard.. 3 years deserves a face to face.. yeah she sent me a text saying "We need to talk" so naturally i was like worried so when i responded with "should i be nervous" she didnt answer

How old are you? Under 25? Then send her some flowers and say "thank you." Best favor she ever did you.

Oh, and getting laid is a good way to forget about her, but do yourself a favor and make sure it is with multiple chicks.

You need to work really really hard to convince yourself that you WANT to move on, that you NEED to get over her, and that you will do anything to be ready for the new miss right when it's time.

I had a bad breakup once, and convinced myself that I was going to do everything I could to get over it as fast as possible. How I did it was completely avoiding any contact with my ex whatsoever. No phonecalls, NO emails, no internet messaging, NOTHING, absolutely no personal contact.

Next, I went out and began doing all the things I thought I couldn't do in the past because of him. I started taking classes, going dancing, being social, and just having a good time. I also started spending lots of time working.

Sometimes, I had to just be sad and take care of myself... read in bed, take a hot bath, cry a bit. Then I would stop wallowing and get up and move forward again.

It takes time, as you know.. but one day, you'll be over her, and believe it or not, you'll even feel glad you aren't with her.

At least she didn't leave you for someone she was playing WoW with. But at least she had the ovaries to do it in person with you... not in a email or a txt message.

As I tell my kids, do not get involved in a monogamous relationship until you are at least 25. Then when you do, make sure she is at least 25, never been married, and has no kids. If she is a property owner, that is icing on the cake.

Now you are thinking. Do not tell her what your plans were as all that might accomplish is get her to come back long enough for the trip.

1. step: write her an sms saying fuck you whore, don't consider contacting ever again ;). this will make sure that you can cut off the contact forever and she won't try to stay friends... worst thing you could do.

2. step: get out, get drunk, get some fresh pussy. sounds stupid but I think those 2 things are the best you can do, you need to find another girl as soon as possible. it doesn't have to be serious or long-term relationship but it will help you to forget about her.

I didn't do these two things when my girlfriend broke up with me and I stayed friends with her for about 2 years. As I was seeing her regularly it wasn't possible for me to get over it and I wasted a lot of time and effort.

I have to say the having sex is a good way to heal. One of my breakups, she said we are done. In two weeks I fucked 10 different girls on telepersonals lol, old ,young, fat ,skinny black and white. It gave me the confidence to go forward and really forget about her. The first break up I stood home and all I did was think about it.
