Bank of America owns

Anyone disagree?

qxm 10-19-2007 12:44 PM

.......nop.... I agree .... those filthy rich bastards have enough money to keep huge mortgage companies (CW) from going under.....without even breaking a sweat

L-Pink 10-19-2007 12:45 PM

What are you trying to say?

NO FUCKING SHIT!

First time I've used a drive-up teller in years. I'm ready to switch as well, I get checks and don't deposit them for months cause I hate their new system so much.

Do you know how incredibly long it takes to deposit checks now, fucking stupid.

Okay, end rant.

CCBill checks are the worst since their machines can't read what is printed on them.

Can't deposit AFF checks either.

And we get money orders, those don't get deposited either.

And if you don't have a deposit slip, then it's all over! But you can pay BofA $5 and they will do it for you. It's so nice of them.

kristin 10-19-2007 12:59 PM

This actually might be a great idea for programs ... Make their checks not-depositable at BofA and make it in your rules that you will only pay WMs who do business at BofA.

D 10-19-2007 01:19 PM

My personal finances are more electric than paper... I go inside to the teller once a month to maybe deposit a few checks and get some quarters for my girlfriend's laundry obsession ( :) )... and the only time I really hit up the ATM is when I'm grabbing some cash for whatever reason...

But, that said, I absolutely love BofA. Their online interface is one of the better ones my mind's eye can imagine.

I do feel for peeps that deposit checks via ATM - though those newfangled ATM machines haven't hit up my local branch yet.

Jace 10-19-2007 01:23 PM

Well, I have not had a problem with that yet. Whenever I have used a teller they have always done all the paperwork for no charge . . . .but they don't charge me for any services (besides wires). I will go pay them a visit today as the stack has just increased.

pussyluver 10-19-2007 01:32 PM

Don't trust the ATM machine for deposits. Want a receipt!! I've caught tellers in error. Think about the machine fucking up, now how are you going to unscrew it without spending a considerable amount of time on the phone.

Agree the ATM is fine for cash. The online banking is great too. Plus how many banks give instant credit for cash into the account?

They are another bureaucracy and for that I hate 'em. An illegal Mexican can get a credit card and my g/f couldn't open an account. She's a US citizen with a Drivers License and no criminal record.

Adult Insider Dave 10-19-2007 01:32 PM

they "OWN" ;-). naw they just are great to work with *unless you tryin to deposit a check i guess lol. And they pay 5% + on a 6 month cd that is pretty dam good if you got cash sitting there not doing ANYTHING

HAHA...using the ATM really makes you the teller, I trust myself over the idiots at the windows anyday... I can't even remember the last time I went into a bank... :pimp

BoyAlley 10-19-2007 01:46 PM

I'm with BoA and I just throw all my checks into an envelope once a month and mail it off to them. A few days later they all show up in my online banking.

Very convenient. :2 cents:

kristin 10-19-2007 02:01 PM

One reason we used the ATM so much is the money would hit that day, if you went inside it could take up to five business days. It never made sense to me that way, but we noticed this, inquired about it and that's how it was.

Now it just sucks.

RevSand 10-19-2007 02:03 PM

The BofA machines by me are still the "stick all the check in one envelope" type... From what I hear I am not looking forward to when they change...

baddog 10-19-2007 02:03 PM

Kristin . . . I would like to talk to you about yappo if you have a moment

DaddyHalbucks 10-19-2007 02:04 PM

I heard BofA doesn't like adult.

Comments?

LiveDose 10-19-2007 02:30 PM

They seem to love me. As stated above all perks are free, except for wires, and I have multiple biz and personal accts with them.

Well, I just got back. Handed the teller a stack of checks and travelers checks (no deposit slip) and said, "your ATM's suck."

He nodded in agreement. Said they were supposed to save them work, but were actually causing more work. He also said they were working on a resolution, but that could just be teller talk.

I will not be using BofA, thanks for the heads up.

Off topic,I read Walt Disney's story ,if it wasnt for the founder of bank of america there would be no disney today. Disney was always in debt and his cartoons were very expensive to make, they were the only ones willing to lend him money.

NETbilling 10-19-2007 03:57 PM

Dave - where ya been the past 2 years? We never see you anymore.

Rodent 10-19-2007 05:13 PM

You put up with that, why not use an online bank tied savings account and get a better rate without tieing up your funds.

NinjaSteve 10-19-2007 07:36 PM

The CD is nice. I have no experience with Bank of America. Wells Fargo sucks balls, and capitalone is pretty sweet. 4.75 APY mma. You can open that account over the internet or phone.
http://www.capitalone.com/directbanking/index.php

NinjaSteve 10-19-2007 07:38 PM

And 4.75 APY is 4.64 APR and the business accounts are 4.5% APY (or 4.4% apr)

fallenmuffin 10-19-2007 07:55 PM

I love Bank of America and I love their new ATMs. So there!

Drake 10-19-2007 07:56 PM

Bank of America is Lord

minusonebit 10-19-2007 08:01 PM

Bank of America is a bunch of cock suckers. I went and deposited money into a friend's account at one of their branches, got a receipt for it. He said he saw the deposit for a few hours in online banking, then it vanished for several weeks, when he called customer service and the branch where I made the deposit the next day, and several times thereafter, they couldn't tell him shit. Then one day, it just appeared like 6 weeks later with no images of the deposit slip or anything.

BofA just bought my bank LaSalle. I hope this doesn't mean that shit will carry over.

Unless your not paying your taxes which I do doubt, the IRS could care less if you kept your money in a bank, under your matress, or up your ass.
