U.S. Banks with Euro Accounts option

I am looking for a U.S. Bank which offers accounts in Euro currency .

I have asked the two banks i work with Bank of America and Washington Mutual and both Branch manager had no idea what i was talking about...

I have asked other banks like Sun Trust, south Trust but no luck there.

In Europe is pretty normal to have an account in U.S. Dollar if needed or any other currency.

I am also looking for a U.S. Bank that has the International Wire features available in the online account, again BoA and WAMU don't offer this or better..BoA offers the Wire option for domestic wires but i need to send more international wires and i hate to physically go to the bank every time.

Any suggestion?

I did and they can open an account only if they have a Branch in the State where the company/account holder is and since i am in Georgia and they don't have any branch here i can't use them.

thx anyway.

Gave up on that stuff years ago MOxxx - they could not open a foreign currency account if their lives depended on it. (There are other banking problems underlying this and probably the reason it's not so common.)

Sure, it's normal in most western countries to be able to open bank accounts in whatever currencies. One of the best banks we use is an OS bank (for that reason, it's prob no good for what you want) who provide clients with one master account, then around 40 sub-accounts in other currencies. You can hold a currency in it's account, transfer it to another currency blah. The prime international banks are nowhere near that level of service.

I believe CitiBank has locations all around the world. I remember a few years ago you could go online to CitiBank-HongKong and they we paying high interest rates.
Good Luck
