Porn Star Sites....whats wrong with them?
 

Why is it that non of these big porn star sites impress me? What is wrong with them getting nice looking sites? Is it me or do they all suck?

All major pornstar sites give me the feeling like they show up at some studio once a month shoot a couple bland pics and go home, have no idea what their site looks like or even what the url is...

the designer loves to photo shop :1orglaugh or the girls faces are that fucked up that they had to be blurried..

Usually this happens when inhouse production team takes over after designer delivered design and 'fixes' it.

i know that for a fact on clubjenna design ;) cuz site you will see in Mike's portfolio is different:)

well you might want to ask not the sites but the web company developing them :)

WOW they are pretty shitty looking.

They would have probaly looked okay with an old 15inch CRT monitor but now with new bigger and better monitors you really need to get with the times and use colors and pictures that will POP and make your site just have that WOW factor..

Pornstars suck.

porn girls are worse than solo girl models - they are unable to run their own sites so they farm it out to some companies who mass produce these cookie cutter members areas that are light on content and don't update - you'll usually see a Diary in a porn star's members area and it's got a couple of posts from 3 years ago. i'm sure there are some exceptions but I've never seen a good one. I think at one time Jenna had a good one for awhile.

Most porn girls I know get paid their $1,000 per scene. They would rather just lay there and take it deep than spend the time and effort it takes to get quality content for their site. Moreover, they feel that they are too good to do cam shows, or answer their own email.

These are the biggest problems with doing a site bases around a "porn star".

Those are some really ugly sites. You would think that more time and money would be invested in them, since the rate of return would be way higher.

You said it...some think they are the shit but really not....they need to take that chip off their shoulder....

Pornstar Bucks (who manages all those sites) has a pretty bad reputation.

We tend to find that we have actual dedicated fans for our porn star, so the best way is to let her interact with the members.

Those sites (actually they looked alot better back then) sold great back in 2001-2002 timeframe - of course the program was being run by someone who knew what he was doing back then - since then they have been left in the dust and conversions went to shit

You would think that the pornstars would give a shit - but based on what we've seen they couldnt care less

post some features that you like for a pornstar site. I am going to meet a popular pornstar today that wants to get her own site. Tell me how you want to see and some examples would be good. I am going to design soon as this chick will be on the Howard Stern Show in a couple weeks.

Just make sure it looks personal... like the girl has a real interest in the site and is involved. I've seen $3000 tour designs by some of the top companies totally flop because they were too glossy. Make it look nice and professional, sure, but keep it personal.

as long as it converts I couldn't care less what it looks like.

Just nice appealing design with in your face clean pics and samples....

a nice site with alot of interaction would do good, customers love interaction,emails and cam shows, with a nice design nothing over the top, easy to use, and plenty of quality content.

if they are making a bunch of money,they must work.

If I was a fan of a certain pornstar the main things that I would be concerned about are A) having LOTS of content of that pornstar and B) make sure that content is easy to find and view.

They all need RE-Designing! :)!!!

Try to tell they the problems and they get all mad and say
"If your so smart why does there my make more than money than yours?"

I'm willing to bet that 95% of them don't know they have sites... anybody can make a site of them. I could go out right now and make an "official" Jenna Haze site.
