Who's a better rapper, eminem or Nas?
 

Me and a friend are arguing over this. You cant really use record sales or $ made to decide who is a better rapper, so the only thing we have is our opinions. I'm trying to settle this now, so who do you think is the better rapper?

Both different styles, I don't really want to compare the two.

I am going with Nas. Em's old shit was pretty dope, But he got too mainstream. Nas became more mainstream also, But his lyrics are doper in my eyes.

I agree, their styles are totally different, but I would have to say Nas is a better storyteller than Eminem is. Eminem got his start as a freestyler.

Gonna have to agree. I'm sure Em is waaaay better, his new stuff is just soooo bad though that people often forget how sick he was.

I can't vote because I can't stand to listen to a full eminem song. his nasally style is like nails on a chalkboard to me. I can't stand nasal singers or rappers!!

Love them both, but Nas haa to be is the winner. Few can challenge him lyrically.

And Illmatic is one of the top rap albums ever. Besides Eric B and Rakim's Paid in Full which I would say are tied for my favorite albums ever. And you will find most people rank them in the top 5 ever. That alone gives Nas it over Eminem in my opinion.

Extremely different styles, way to hard to compare. I'm not actually a real fan of either, I think they both have some great songs, but could really care less about either of them.

That song is a good example of why Nas would murder Em on a track :thumbsup

Nas is monotone and boring as fuck, always has been. Eminem was tight back in the slim shady days, now he's just annoying as hell...

i sit BACK with this BAG of this WEED that gives ME... lol... what kind of choppy ass flow is that? so annoying... and his latest tracks are even worse. Plus all eminem raps about now is the rap game itself and the media fucking with him.

The thing is the so called hip hop you see on TV is devils music, that's what 16 year old girls like to listen to. I'm talking about bullshit like 50 cent. Most of the stuff that sells good has candy ass beats and lyrics that make no sense.

While Nas' Illmatic is a better all around album than any Eminem album (because it's one of the few rap albums that is good all the way thru), I think Eminem's a better lyricist (on his older stuff, when he was hungry and busting out). It's just pesonal taste and subjective. Em's voice can hurt my ears though as it's a tad nasaly like somebody else said.
