Sponsors With Timed Pop Ups
Do you guys think sponsors popping timed (minute or more it seems) pops blurs without your referrral code is cool?
All this "stats bragging" got me logging in to a sponsor I havent pushed in awhile... checked out a few of their latest site tours, had a few probs closing out Pops, nothing too abnormal.... <i>BUT, </i>then minutes later 3 timed pop ups popped <i>WITHOUT</i> my referral code, obviously since its pushing other sites. Note all other pops kept the referral code since its a large sponsor, they have sites of all niches so all pops carried the referral except this timed pop up. But the timed pop.... was a clean, "Enter here" type of page pushing Hustler (not their site) now on my computer I have 3 Hustler windows that I cant close, upon closing any window at least 3 pop. Nice work boys. |
If i send a hit, i want the credit if they signup at any point in time.
Exit hit, entry hit, 4 pages down the exit chain, I want credit. My hit, my dime, period. WG |

It really comes down to how much the sponsor is paying per sale. I know that we can only afford $40 per signup at juicybucks.com because we don't pay surfers for our exits. At the end of the day, the sponsorship program does have to actually make, and not lose, money. I would rather promote a sponsor who keeps the exits, as it usually means if they can't track them, they probably are not smart enough to shave :Graucho |

I am talking about hidden, non closeable items in your toolbar that appear or blur in way after you left the site and have closed all the sponsors "Make Money Exits." Hidden/malicious pops only. Non closeable, chain after chain, never get to the end pops. |
I was talking about all popups. I don't care how the singup came about, if i sent that hit i want to be paid for it. Mind you, I don't mind a sponsor paying less on exit, but they should PAY on exit. On some occasions I might let it slide, like if a sponsor is paying $45 per signup, but on $40/signup, I'd want the exits as well simply because there's programs out there that can afford it.
Like I said though, I don't mind a reduced payout for exit sales. Something even like half the payout (ie: $20/su will be the minimum I need for exit sales). WG |
Upon posting the above, I decided to go aherad and close out all the pops...
imagine when you click "close this window." it prompts for "Would you like to make this your homepage." Instead of closing the window it prompts you for homepage. Again, nice work boys. |
I'm very picky about my sponsors... I had a list of like 100 and shortened them to like 50... so now I gotta go find some more sponsors... :)

If anyone wants to link up with a sponsor program where you don't get treated like an ant, at armslength, give me a yell on ICQ. I wont make any promises I can't keep, like tell you unrealistic conversion ratios. I mean we get guys getting 1:181 off targetted search engines, and guys getting 1:1100 from TGP traffic. All i'll tell you is what you will get paid.
Sound fair? I don't like sending my hard earned traffic to programs where I don't have the option to contact one of the owners directly. So why should my webmasters? :thumbsup |
that is kinda foul. :(
.......... anybody got the code for that? :1orglaugh .... just kidding |

This is mostly about SPONSORS doing it. |
You know, if payouts weren't so ridiculously inflated in some cases it wouldn't be an issue. Someone pays 70 per join, someone pays 55 per join, someone will pay a grand a join one of these days.
The ONLY thing that matters is if you send equal amounts of traffic to Sponsor A and Sponsor B, who's cutting you a check for more money? And as to the thought that traffic belongs to anyone permanently, yeah right. If that's the case then I guess Hun, Tommys, Google, etc ought to be getting the checks that resellers cash, since if you didn't have type in traffic to start with, it's not yours to begin with. Sponsors could give away hundreds and people would complain the bills weren't new. |

In regards to the second point, I believe in the adult business that once i get a hit, I should have the rights to any sale from it for the sole reason that companies out there can afford it. Silvercash for example pays on exits and a few other companies do. This doesn't mean everyone has to, but when a few companies take the lead like this, I like to think it would set the trend. In reality Silvercash and TrafficCash both allow tracking of exit sales and because they are already paying out $40/signup, this makes me want to do business with companies that pay at least the same and also on exits because there are companies that can afford to. Of course people like SexHit who pay $70/signup, no way would I expect them to pay on exits. All relative to the bottom line... WG |

most sponsors give you the first exits or a portion of the first exits and get the second, third and so on.... what if it wasn't your sales technicques that sold the surfer but those of the sponsor who filtered it by their exits? while I understand your concerns, there are certain financial reasons why it's not feasible...now, if they promise payment on all exits and don't deliver, that's a whole nother thing...... |

Sorry if I didn't indicate that. WG |
