Bush raises specter of 'WWIII'
WASHINGTON ? President Bush planned to talk to reporters Wednesday about domestic issues. Instead, he spent the news conference mostly on foreign affairs, including his blunt assessment that a nuclear-armed Iran could lead to "World War III."
"I've told people that if you're interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing" the Iranians from gaining the means to make nuclear weapons, Bush said. Bush also urged Turkey not to send more troops into northern Iraq, and refused to comment on reports that Israel attacked a Syrian nuclear plant receiving North Korean help. He played down criticism of his policy on Iran from Russian President Vladimir Putin and of his management of the war in Iraq by one of his former generals. http://www.usatoday.com/news/washing...y_N.htm?csp=34 this fucking moron wants to start ANOTHER war before he leaves office. The problem is, under the constitution of the US, if there is a declaration of war, the sitting president has the right to hold off on being replaced, until it is deemed SAFE for the county to make the change. |

A heart attack would prevent WW3 :2 cents:
... but I would settle on pretzel chocking :winkwink: |

It's amazing that some people are worried about Bush rather than Ahmadinejad.
:1orglaugh |
Perhaps he and Fox News can keep trying to work their way towards WW III. Although the Fox News fuckheads like to keep calling this current conflict WWIII.
It's not. Anyone with a brain cell knows this. Which eliminates anyone at Fox News. Go take a history class. When the WORLD or a good part of it is involved, only THEN is it a world war. This also include sacrifice, which you saw in WW I and WW II. The U.S. has not sacrificed shit. War tax? Nope. Rations? Nope. Go spend more or the terrorists win. :disgust Unilateral conflicts are not world wars. Bush and the Neo Cons are fuckheads. :2 cents: |
you gonna get drafted.

They're still just playing the fear factor. It's about all this administration has left to cling on to.
Be afraid. Be very afraid. |

I wonder if WW III 2.0 would allow for user generated ratings on the idiots that started it...

:1orglaugh Yes, a sovereign country that invaded Kuwait, that attempted to assasinate a US President, that used WMD against civilians, that murdered hundreds of thousands of its own citizens, that defied the UN for 11 years, and that posed a threat to world peace. |

And Kosovo? And countless other countries with dictators? ... |
I don't give a shit. :)

Fear can do wonders

invaded kuwait because their oil drill actually went into iraq land. How many times has the USA tried to assassinate presidents? And Israel have defied the UN since 1967, with resolution 242. But of course Iran is in the wrong because they are muslims :error |

BTW, what does that have to do with IRAN ... ( notice the last letter is a " N" not a "Q" ...). |

maybe I'm crazy, but I AM kind of afraid. I mean, I don't live in constant fear of what could happen at any moment, but there are a lot of things going on right now and it seems like only a matter of time before something boils over. I really feel like this nation is waiting for something very bad to happen. Whether that's another terrorist attack or Bush pulling some shit to keep himself in office or any of a million other scenarios... I've never been so unsure of the future before.
