How many threads will it take to bring back the search function?
 

Seriously GFY is useless without it! I don't even want to browse, takes waaaay too long. If each of us posted a thread asking for it back, I'm sure we'll have a better shot!

without a search function GFY is just like a chatroom where people just say whats on their mind right now without thinking twice and shit gets forgotten 4 hours later....

With a search function, GFY is just a chat room where people say whats on their mind right now without thinking twice and shit gets argued about for the next 6 months as people dig up the old thread and piss on people some more.

Once people stop bumping stupid threads and actually discuss in real threads, valid discussions will stay on page 1 and life will be fine. Don't get mad because search is missing, get mad because someone posted the 227th "would you hit it' thread of the morning.

Am I the only one who appreciates the improved load times? With the search function on the board is so slow it is basically worthless.

enabling search takes a few minutes, convincing people to suddenly stop making "would you hit it threads" is an impossible task

good point but what about when someone who who seriously looking for business needs to search for something specific? I've always thought that people who are obvious sig whores should be kicked out since it floods the board so much. Imagine how much more business would be done in GFY without the sig whores??

If only these threads had any effect, I'd be starting a new thread like this every 10 minutes..

There has to be some way to have search that is faster for a board this big. Somewhere, somehow I fell a super geek has solved this problem.

Maybe just limiting the searches to 1 for every 5 minutes or something like that could work.

I'll start another thread...with the same fucking question...and I'll do it again tommorrow..I hate the bastard that took away the search function. And fuck searching on google for GFY threads..

yep we are one of them.. we are not that oft on the board so i have to use the search option to see possible business opportunities.

we want search back!!!

with the search it's at least possible to keep track of the interesting threads.
