Who can help me shutting down lorilustnews.com ??

hello there

i have addressed this issue already but i want to do it again.... who runs www.lorilustnews.com has hotlinked one of our sites, they basically ripped tables, copied content and links to the galleries and stuff, and they constantly hit our server - now i have sent the hosting company that hosts this site a fax from my lawyer for asking to AT LEAST notify the webmaster of the site about all this for removing the tables which are mine, and NOTHING HAPPENED. this was this summer already...

and if i am not wrong they have scammed other people as well, so who wants to give me a hand in this? this site www.lorilustnews.com is all bs and all contact infos they have there are fake (on the WHOIS), they dont answer, etc etc. i have stats to prove that they have been hotlinking and all that.

i really hate this kind of people.
thanks

best of luck to you:thumbsup

Well good luck, youre gonna need it. How much longer are you gonna wait the clean way?

Its not like they are doing anything in a clean way. Give them what they are asking for.

Surely you can block the hotlinking with htaccess. It's not a total solution but you can keep them from burning your bandwidth...

edit: from the looks of the site you already did - broken images everywhere... :)

yeah i have done that already

1. Use htaccess to block their use of your BW, which you have done.

2. Fire your lawyer because he sounds worthless and probably just like that site is leeching off you with no benefit.

3. Get their domain pulled for using false whois info.

CaptainHowdy 10-17-2007 08:40 AM

Take 'em down !

you know what? im going to try writing to ICANN and tell them about the fake domain info, let's see what's going on and as for 2) i can't fire her since she's one of the best friends of my mother which is a lawyer too eh eh.

If you follow a proper DMCA notice to everyone along the chain you will see results.

Site owner
Hosting Company
All Sponsors
Billing companies if they have them.
Registrar (where they regged at)
Higher up the Registrar ladder if they are a reseller.

And at ICANN make sure you also follow their procedure as well.

Doing all that which should take less than an hour, and you will see results in a few days.

Sorry I assumed you had a proper DMCA.

Glad to see it has helped though send off a proper one up the chain as I said. You will see more results. Just needs to be done in the proper legal format.

I've seen that girl around a hundred times. She's applied to model for us, and tried to get us to use her agency. I don't know if that site has anything to do with her, or if they are ripping her off like they are you, but hereis her contact information :
[email protected]
[email protected]

she has lorilust.com and http://www.lorilustagency.com/

I figure if it is her, you can contact her that way, and if it isn't you might be able to let her know that she's being ripped off too.

Good luck (that sucks).

I've got a phone number for her too. If you icq me, i'll give it to you. It's at least as recent as April.

perfectodollars-gabrio 10-20-2007 01:25 AM

thanks all of you guys... for now let's wait a few days and let's see what happens.

and yes this legal format is VERY strict., you know what, ive been translating legal stuff for some companies and when it comes to legal stuff, the american legislation never forgets anything! italians should learn from that eh eh

peterk 10-20-2007 01:38 AM

Good luck nailing them down!

TeenCat 10-20-2007 05:11 AM

It may have been better to email him this info so the spam bots don't pick up the email address of someone who may not actually be involved.

Bunch of amateurs on here or what? A simple reverse dns shows up with these other sites hosted on the same server:
1) craigstevensphotography.com
2) lorilust.tv
3) lorilustagency.com
4) lorilustnews.com
5) lorilustxxx.com
6) newdivamodels.com
7) thedivamodels.com

Of particular note is the first domain.
Enjoy.

I know odds are against it but please tread carefully. I acted like above once and wouldnt you know it the few domains that looked out of place where on a damn virtual box with a shared IP.

So does all of the whois info match on them as well?

Then again do any of the other domains have stolen material on them, if not what do they matter?

I checked the sites before posting and they all link to one another. Seems they are all ran by the same individual. I never make assumptions.

Sorry if it came off as if I thought you made assumptions. It was more of a general warning for those who do reverse DNS lookups and think ah hah!

do what a couple mods on gfy did with rip-productions.com

1) wait until lensman takes a vacation
2) create a nickname in the name of hte offender like lorilustnews
3) start posting under that nickname gfy with threads like "i steal your content and there is nothing any of you can do about it"
4) once people reply, keep posting stating again and again that your servers are bullet proof and no one could take them down
5) sit back and wait until some romanian kid melts their servers and a bunch of do-gooders go after the registrar, hosting company etc
6) then delete all the incriminating post before lensman gets back... especially the ones where you fucked up and posted under the wrong nickname

If the domain information is fake, report it to ICANN and the registrar will have to take action.

http://wdprs.internic.net/

You have to explain to them why the information is wrong. In theory, the registrar is suppose to contact their client and ask them to put correct information, as incorrect information in the whois is basis enough for the domain to be cancelled.

You can also send DMCA notices to the registrar and host.
