Drug Policy - the "final" whats your take on the future?

Lets say you make $20,000 a year & live in an shit hole apartment that costs $750 a month total with utilities. Leaving you with $11,000 a year for every other bill & cost of life.

You have come down with a bad case of arthritis or tendinitis for example.

What makes more sense.

a) get a oz of some mexican brick for $100 with delivery (that will last one month) for pain & feels great!

b) buy 2 stamp bags of smack a day for $20 *two doses* with delivery ($600 a month) and feels even greater!

b) make an appointment, see a specialist (with no healthcare) at $300 a month, who will then write you a prescription for a non opiate pain killer (since you're poor & thus an addict) for something like celebrex which is another $200 a month & is later found to cause heart failure because it was rushed through the FDA for some fat cats to get paid,....and it makes you feel like shit, you can barely tell that its having an effect on the pain, but its full of other side effects, which cause you to visit the emergency room at least one time a year ($4,000 minimum).

A) costs $1200 a year
B) costs $7200 a year
C) costs roughly $10,000 a year

A, B & C have roughly the same ratio of addiction issues.

A & B have been used successfully in one way or another for 1,000's of years.

C has been used commercially & questionably successful for no more than 50 years.

All drug related issues aside. Think like a computer. Which option makes the most logical sense?

And do you think logic will ever succeed in the United States, like in countries like Holland?

With such pain an opiate seems required for simple maintenance. Not sure why you we're not prescribed that unless your documented to abuse drugs.

The Final Solution, like the one Hitler had in mind.

That's the only logical choice for you Goddamn reefer addicts.

You know it makes you look at white women, but you still smoke it.

you figures for b) are off - it may cost 600$ for the first month - *maybe* 2 months then after that its an exponential increase until you are robbing banks o feed your 600$ a day habit

I say avoid all drugs and use as many natural remedies as possible :thumbsup

if you are using any drug to get "high" i agree....but the same could be said for liking food too much

if you used it therapeutically like morphine, its been shown to work for ages

of course the obvious thing i was pointing to was cannabis use, being the best choice....however

Looks like the Medical Marijuana Project is sponsoring the 2008 Libertarian National Convention. Maybe that will raise some awareness.
