The place I use which is a real barber shop (in cali) only charges 6.99 now. They used to charge 5.99 up until a year ago for a full service cut, 2.00 more for a blade shave. Add in the tip and I am out of there for 10.00 Though I do not go monthly.

Now in same center is a beauty salon (old fashion as well) that does the wifes hair. They only do hair. She gets a trim and style for 10.00 plus tip, so she ussually gets out of there for 12.00 to 15.00 dollars.
She likes that place cause they will cut her hair while she stands, which is good for long hair.
