Did we really land on the moon?

You've probably seen the conspiracy theory shows about the strange things in NASA's pictures and videos on the moon. Or was it just a set? Was Kennedy so intent on winning the space race by the projected year of 1970 that he staged it in 1969? No stars in some photos, a flag waving in the "wind?", camera crosshairs going behind objects, shadows coming from the wrong direction, and a dog running in the background in one shot. OK I made the last one up.

Wait till I scrape the Cheese off my Space Boots, then I 'll tell you :Graucho

FlyingIguana 09-17-2002 05:52 PM

my thinking would be, if it was made up, someone would have leaked it by now. russia collapsed so there isnt really much of a reason not to bring it up.

Massivecock 09-17-2002 05:52 PM

they faked it.

no question about that.
Way too many anomalies.

I say the fox special on it also

cold_ice 09-17-2002 05:56 PM

Well if a person would doubt the fact that we went to the moon then they should also doubt sending that fucking rover to mars or anything that we have sent up to space.

Amputate Your Head 09-17-2002 05:57 PM

welcome to the matrix

I would have said anyone who doubts it was crazy, until I saw the Fox special. Now I'm not so sure.

I know how insane it sounds to be forming opinions based on what I saw on Fox, but unless they seriously edited a couple pictures and flat out lied about almost everything, it was fake.

pr0 09-17-2002 09:25 PM

ignorance is bliss

Choder 09-18-2002 11:55 AM

Well the flag waving in the wind is actually supposed to be due to the fact that the astronauts are moving the pole. They are holding onto it and twisting it.

The stars not being visible in some shots has to do with bright front lighting and the stars fading out due to the overexposure of the images near the camera.

The camera crosshairs appearing to be behind things is a result of film exposure and color bleeding.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Please folks, put down the drugs and think this one out. Yes, we went to the moon---several times in fact.
Ok, ok....the tooth fairy, Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny are all fake.:winkwink:
