Well thats part of it however it will never work because the person who the Idea is being stolen from has good business sense and works hard on his domains / business while this lying scumbag only wants to buy people off and expects money to do his work rather than innovation.

I was thinking LocalFlirt is a good name for an adultfriendfinder type of site, then I looked at LocalGSpot (I didn't look at the page last time I just checked for just the name of his sites on LocalG's webmaster page) and I'll just keep out of this one... but still don't think it's anything to persecute him over.

Grow up guys. This is some silly little girl BS. If he had the balls to register a domain and compete with a former partner so be it. Best man wins. Plenty of designers that work for large companies have left and started teen, amateur, lesbo and other sites. Does anybody cry then? No.

What if some third party that Local G didn't know started a competing site. Is that better!? At least he knows Rosey and can figure out a way to out do him.

Who knows why they really split. I'm guessing all the reasons still haven't really been said publicly (as is always the case with disputes between friends). Whatever the problems, they were big enough for Rosey to feel distanced from Local G enough to start Localflirt.com.

Whatever the problem is, this is a huge business and a huge web. That's an up and coming popular niche so I'd rather have a former business associate doing it than a foreign competitor.

This is my take on it. When you consider someone a friend, you trust them, you do business with them and then they outright copy your idea and name the site almost identical to yours....that's unethical imo

If it was foreign competition or if there was a true falling out then I can understand to a degree. But when someone I trust just straight goes behind my back, copies my site AND names it almost identicalll....well i take that as a spit in the face. I don't like people I trust screwing me over.

Basically comes down to this

Do you want to do business with someone that will steal from his own friends and associates?

Happens all the time in this biz...but me personally...I know I'm one notch above most :-) I run an honest biz and like to only deal with honest individuals period.

I got no problem with him. He has always been cool to me, hooked me up with some smooth graphics, never asked for anything in exchange, and was a cool person to talk to and discuss ideas.
