Google - Anti piracy database
This is good news! Once some of these sites are "unsearchable", it will make it harder for these freeloaders and theives to steal our content :winkwink:

Is this referring to YouTube or something else?
|
Why would Google take a result down without a DMCA request?
|
Source???
|
I did a quick search, I could only find YouTube in recent references about anti-piracy, and it's just a filter that will refuse to allow processing of an upload where their visual matching system detects copyrighted content. This is more a pre-emptive DMCA rather than censorship.
If Google start filtering results to exclude (for example) torrent or mp3 filenames, then that's a different matter entirely... |
Interesting... need links to source though...

Last I knew they only did this with DMCA complaints. As I have been on both ends of that issue. :2 cents: |
