Money makes me happy and all you other greedy bastards in this industry better not lie and say it doesn't matter.

if you define happiness as really hot hookers and cocaine... money can buy quite a bit of happiness.

it doesnt buy happiness all in itself, but it sure makes things easier

Money is one part of a ten-piece puzzle to happiness. All the pieces are needed.

Money won't MAKE you happy (necessarily)

I am going with false. It makes so many things in life so much easier it is hard not to be happy.

Money can certainly eliminate stresses that get in the way of happiness.

But happiness can also be defined alot of ways (short term/long term)

I'm happy when I'm eating an expensive meal with friends...but would I be happy eating it alone...or with a paid companion? ;)

But happiness is in the soul, and has no monetary prerequisite.

I was happy when I was eating a cheap meal with friends. Now when I can eat anything and everywhere I want, the meal doesn't bring me any happiness. I just don't pay any attention to food at all.

It was a happiness when I was wanting to buy something (a good book, a video game, a new hardware or just a good expensive dainty/drink or anything else), was saving money for it till the day I was able to buy it. Now I don't feel any happiness when I'm buying something I was unable to buy when I was younger.

It sure as hell helps to deaden the pain.

It depends on the person.

If you prefer to live a comfortable life, like most, then money will make you happy.

well as long as we cant eat,fuck or party with money( the bills) I say its true.

I have to go with true. A lot of people with money are sad and that can be for any reason. I just thought of the example that even celebrities do drugs some might want to escape reality.

Money can make things a lot easier and allows you to do the things that you want to do. If you are big into golfing, money can buy your way on the greatest courses in the world. if you are into music, money can buy you the best music equipment in existence. If you love to travel, money can send you to every end of the Earth.

I'm sitting here thinking about the one thing that truly makes me happy... and no, money cannot touch that or even influence it.

Happiness is from within. If you are a happy person, a bowl of white rice will make you happy. If you need money or toys or big houses or fast cars to make you happy, then you aren't really a happy person. Take those away and what do you have?

My mother, who has given me a lot of good advice, told me "money won't buy you happiness, but it will make you much more comfortable while you're miserable".

I have friends who live week to week, some are happy and some arn't. I also have friends who would be worth over $100 million some of them are happy and some of them arn't.
So I would have to say no, money wont make you happy. I think it has more to do with what you make of your life.

Money will make you happy for a while until there is nothing you need anymore and have everything you want.

It's nice to have some money, especially if you "need" it - but after a level it means little and also has little to do with "happiness". In fact, depending - it can be damned boring.

if you think money buys happiness you surely haven't been around many rich people. the older the money is usually means the more unhappiness and dysfunctions people have. people who were poor and worked and became rich are happier than old money - they have the sense of accomplishment that gives them confidence and pride.

there are happy rich people but definitely not more happy rich people than happy middle class people - i'm leaving out people who are at the poverty/subsistence level - even some of those people are happy but let's face it, being poor usually does mean misery for a big proportion of people in a capitalist developed country.

from my own observations i'd say the happiest group of people I know are middle class.

I've got to knew people that I would without a doubt consider and call POOR that are surely allot more happy than most of those here with money.

I'm kinda sad people do think money is the "magic potion" to everything, then again in this day and age I'm not surprised (even though I'm pretty sure at one time or another they will think otherwise...)

Some of you seem so much out of reality its scary...

People create problems for themselves rich or poor.

However I am sure that if a poll was to be done about rich people one would find that the majority of them are quite happy while poor tend to be less happy.

Thats kinda a no brainer.
